Discussion for article #223003
Would like to know where ACLU and the Leadership Conference differ re. his legal interpretations around the use of drones.
i guess john yoo is otherwise engaged…
what the hell is the president doing putting these people in the judiciary …probly the same reson he put geithner and summers in their positions ??? shakes my head and wonders WTF
we have to stop allowing the rich and powerful of this country to fail up, just because they belong to a certain alumni association. the press should not even ask a politician about his future plans, they should just laser in on his past decisions, accomplishments and failures
Not sure they do; the ACLU apparently wanted to know what they said, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they’d disagree once they’ve seen them. They do tend to take the strongest stand they can on due process and equal protection, though, and I have a great deal of respect for their legal advocacy and social conscience, so I too would like to hear from them.
What we don’t need to hear from is the peanut gallery who haven’t heard fact one yet, but assume their sarcasm or contempt for well-educated lawyers is always pertinent. (That means you, enoncwazylamonth.)
