Discussion: Reid: If McConnell Wants To Know Trump's Origins, 'He Should Look In The Mirror'

Discussion for article #247538

A party that allegedly prides itself on Christian values can’t seem to find it in their Christian hearts to speak out against a blatant racist. Christ would be, and I suspect is, disgusted with them all.

A “Mini-Christie” is still going to be pretty damn huge.

Ryan and McConnell together weigh less than one Maxi-Christie.

Nice line though.

“Mini-Christie”? I’d try to reconcile that phrase but I fear a brain hemorrhage might result.

The Republican Party made Trump, with Congressional Republicans in recent years boing most of the construction. Bravo to Reid and other Democrats who are pointing that out.

Any person of normal size is a mini-Christie.

The Republican Party has become the Party of Trump

It always has been (well, at least since Reagan), it’s just out of the closet now.

“The Republican Party has become the Party of Trump," Reid said.

Party Of Trump = POT. Yes, the Republican Party has gone to pot (not the good kind).

Harry, we’re going to miss you!

These truths will fall on the deaf ears of the Trump Ignorati but hopefully will land on moderate Republicans and thinking Indies.

Ted Cruz has no principals except the pursuit of power. Cruz is dangerous and evil.

“This is precisely the kind of moral cowardice that enabled the rise of Trump."

This is how they’ll flip the Senate.

Not that Trump isn’t, but at least Cruz doesn’t have the following that Trump does.

In any case, the rest of the world is starting to take Trump seriously:

Trump is going all the way fascist.

He has made a calculation that the (white) rage in this country is so widespread that he can use the false (based on the facts) promise of “jobs” to provide the cover for a tsunami of xenophobic vitriol which will propel him to power.

The idea of “people who have never voted” provides a goal of simply writing off the parts of the country which are not white male and Go For It…and assume, like a true misogynist, that all of “their women” will trot behind them to the voting booth.

There is a concept called Gotterdammerung. Rule or ruin.

(1) If Trump wins the Presidency (with his Storm Troops, Reality TV fans, GOP Independents enamoured with the “businessman” that Trump is), then, after what he wishes to put in place is effected, no one will be in a position to challenge or even WRITE about an absolute ruler. The lighter-coloured humans in Trump’s America will be unleashed to RULE over all of the darker-coloured inferiors. RULE

(2) If Trump loses the Presidency, he will go down in History (World and U.S,) as the most evil, depraved and dangerous demagogue in United States History. RUIN

(1) above is either a delusion in Trump’s diseased mind OR a reality (I have not lived among Americans in the United States long enough in my formative years to make the call). RULE (maybe)

(2) above: should Trump lose the General Election: Trump will go down in history (World and U.S.) as the most evil, depraved and dangerous demagogue in United States History. RUIN (maybe)

Reid should actually pass out Trump hats on the Senate floor to every GOP Senator and ask them to either put them on or disavow him. That would make some great popcorn moments.
