“Where did he get this?”
From the rampant and vile thinking of the GOP. Rope and tie him with it Harry. Kick him if you get a chance.
See, Harry treats the Senate like a plantation and the Republican Senators as his slaves…Because, slaves on the plantation routinely got to filibuster their work assignments. Because the slaves got to decide which fields they would work in. Because Massa can’t command the slaves to do anything without the slaves signing off on it. Sounds about right.
No no no. Everyone knows slavery was actually fairly fun. Isn’t that the current story? Free room and board, two or three hours of work a day.
What’s not to love?
REID’s CHILdish DEMANd FOR an APOLOGY After COmparing cassidY TO sterlinG makes makES reID souND liKE hitLER!1!1!!!ONE!!!1!1!!!
The Republican’ts are on a concentrated 1984 push. Up is down, down is up, and all the rest. Just watch Mitchy.
You’re just pissed off because the Senate is being run at all. You want the whole world to collapse, so the exploitation of the weak and the disenfranchisement of unrich America can really take hole.
I’m with Harry.
Remember that time when the slaves shut down the plantation because they didn’t get what they wanted?
Yeah, if “Twelve Years a Slave” cast Wally Cox as the plantation owner. . .
Plus, the slaves were allowed to sing spirituals on their lunch break.
I thought I was the loast living fan of Wally Cox.
Plantation workers can schedule months of vacations?
It sure was better back then…
Not being able to do every little thing you want when you want exactly the way you want is exactly like being a slave. – The Sarah Palin - Duck Dynasty School of Slave History
You left out being a valued asset of the corporation such that you would never be mistreated by the prudent slaveown–errr, stakeholder, according to the Economist.
Having learned how to run a legislative body under Boner’s tutelage, he just want the chance to help the senate run as well.
“Where did he get this?”
Has Mr. Reid been asleep for the least decade?
The “Democrat plantation” is bit of vile bullshit the GOP and “conservatives” have been vomiting up for years.
It’s funny how, if a butthurt Republican wanted to express his displeasure at Harry Reid, there are so many analogies one could use for a place where the person in charge always gets their way (leaving aside how the Senate works in reality). Like, for example, a corporation. Yet they always go for the racist ones.
It’s the conservative way!
I’ve come to believe they just can’t help themselves.
You know, kind of like a petulant two-year old and tantrums…
…and how many vacation days did the slaves get? …health care? …retirement benefits?
