In dealing with the indisputable menace of Trump, the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. His words and acts expose him. Satire brings him down.
Imagine billboards across the country bearing a picture of Trump with Pinocchio’s nose in the foreground (and in the background, Conway, Bannon, Priebus, and Spicer all wearing the same noses) with the caption “I heard he had some problem with his penis, but clearly he has found a way to compensate.”
Once the Pinocchio nose is in place, nothing can remove it. Only hiding your embarrassment works. And impeachment will move that along nicely. Certainly, even without the National Endowment for the Arts, we have artists and comedians and deep pockets enough to help us save our country and ourselves.
Laughter always the best medicine. And weapon.

I did a lot of backpack-type traveling when I was younger, late Eighties and early to mid-Nineties, and I always had to chuckle at how careful my Canadian counterparts were to plaster big red maple leaves over all their gear. Certainly didn’t want to be mistaken for one of those awful Americans! I can only imagine now.

The whole “not my President” disgusted me under Obama. I was determined to not say that under this Administration. I was going to argue, and fight his policies, but I didn’t want to use that phrase when referring to Trump.

The stories of our abhorrent treatment of brave Iraqis who worked for us for years at the absolute risk of their lives and their family’s lives, only to be blocked by years of red tape when they try to emigrate to the U.S., are as sad as they are numerous. This sounds like this carried to theater of the absurd levels. Five will get you ten these people have been getting vetted and blocked for years despite greater service to our country than 90% of the people who do not want to see them allowed into our country.
