Discussion for article #242584
Wow I can’t believe that revised sign.
But what’s even more unbelievable is that a lot of this info was known by the folks that perpetrated the manhunt for his killers and how those same folks used his “killing” against BLM.
edit: Then again the way so many internal investigations clear cops, and the recent union threatening statement against Tarantino, I shouldn’t be surprised at all
he could put three bullets in her chest if she didn’t stop acting foolishly.
So, of course, he was promoted. I can’t decide if GI Joe was the problem or everyone else in his Department…
All I can say at this moment is, that #BLACKLIVESMATTERS!
I’m sure there are many cops like this loser within police departments across the US and they need to be rooted out. This is the exact reason why DoJ needs to structure some serious oversight procedures to ensure these types of cops are punished rather than rewarded for bad behavior. His suspensions speaks volumes and the allegations of sexual harassment is very problematic too! But to intimidate a dispatcher with his government issued gun, should have merit him a boot out the door and charges should have been filed against him.
But no, he was promoted to a lieutenant! I certainly hope this entire police department will go through a complete shake down and those who upheld this type of corrupt behavior should be held accountable. For if it were not for them supporting his actions, perhaps the staged suicide debacle could have been prevented and it would have save the taxpayers a lot of dough!
This is what happens in a culture obsessed with making heroes of authority figures. Forever losing our innocence when we learn they are all too human, just like us.
I have never seen a faster, more dramatic, posthumous history re-write.
A venerated cop has been shown to be a corrupt piece of shit. So what do the police do? Demonize Quentin Tarantino! Yeah, that’s the ticket! And let me introduce you to my wife, Morgan Fairchild, who I’ve seen naked…
A letter in the file dated Feb. 1, 2009, addressed to then-Mayor Cynthia Irwin and signed only by “Anonymous Members of the Fox Lake Police Department” outlined complaints about Gliniewicz that included: allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a subordinate officer and the sexual harassment of a dispatcher, complaints from bouncers at local bars for being drunk and belligerent, and allegations that he allowed members of the youth program unsupervised access to the police department and the opportunity to wear clothing labeled “police,” misidentifying themselves as officers.
It was not clear from the file whether any action was taken in response to the letter.
Given that it is 2015 and the complaints were from 2009 and he is still on the force AND this vile human was given a “hero’s funeral”… it is pretty damn clear that NO actions were taken. Well against the officer by the Police Department. I am strongly guessing that this guy found out about these anonymous complaints and retaliated.
In a fair world, the media would realize they’ve been had and start to question everything police say, since they’ve got an agenda like everyone else. But since they’re part of the entertainment industry and ratings are the name of the game, they go with what sells. And hero veteran cop shot down by villainous thugs sells.
I remember the first article that came out suggesting that his death might possibly have been suicide and I was a bit stunned since I hadn’t realized the facts were so shaky. But now…jumping Jesus, this is ridiculous. If this were a movie it’d be considered too silly to be believable. And if Tarantino did it in a movie, he’d be boycotted and threatened for it.
Troubling to me is that I can not decide if the Police is at war with the Public, or is the Public at war with the Police.
Either way there is one hell of a lot of mistrust.
Case in point:
In 2003, a dispatcher complained Gliniewicz tried to intimidate her by bringing guns into the radio room after the two had a disagreement during which Gliniewicz allegedly told her he could put three bullets in her chest if she didn’t stop acting foolishly.
*
But there is no evidence Gliniewicz got in serious trouble, and in 2006, he was promoted to lieutenant in control of the patrol division.
And I still think some outside group needs to look into his “suicide”…just sayin…
Alcoholic Barney Fife on steroids. In the movie he should be played by J.K. Simmons.
Oh, I trust the Lake Co. coroner on this one.
Really or is this sarcasm? And if really why?
My reason for doubting is it just doesn’t seem like many folks that are so depressed they want to kill themselves do it to make themselves like a hero. Usually they just want to end the pain of life. He didn’t seem like he was in pain, just that he was into a lot of corrupt dealings. And even if shooting yourself twice while wearing a bulletproof vest is doable, he would know that forensics would probably be able to prove it was self inflicted and so make all his effort to cover up his suicide worthless.
It’s a miracle that someone was not killed in the manhunt for the three made up “suspects” by this sociopath cop.
Black Lives Matter
This article has some more details in it. There just seems to be nothing that suggests any other plausible cause for his death.
I have a feeling that there will be much more coming out on this. This isn’t a case of just stealing some money for a couple of mortgage payments, a gym membership and a porn site. Much more going on here, and a lot of it tolerated by the administrators so they’re not going to want to divulge stuff. Where’s Truman Capote when you need him.
One thing that seems suspicious to me is that he wanted to put a hit out on the new village administrator, who looked like she might be ready to stumble into his schemes. He had no problem with the old administrator, though. I wonder why not.
I know this is an exercise in futility, but has Fox News issued any apologies for running with the story that this was BLM driven? hahaha! Sometimes I say silly things.
