Discussion: Recalling Trump's Health Obsession As Bornstein Comes Back Into Spotlight

Does Jackson hand out perfect cognitive test scores like he hands out prescription drugs?

There is that question. Especially given Trump’s history of dictating results of his “tests”.

Jackson must be asked if Trump dictated portions of his report too. No way would a medical professional come up with “incredibly good genes.”

Way out on a limb here but I’m guessing the question of Trump’s mental health and cognitive ability will re-enter the public discussion in the near future.

And once again @caitlinmacneal proves herself a master of refined sarcasm. It’s noticed and appreciated. : )

Oh how Donald must have laughed at having flipped off every, single person in America.

Remember from Dr. Bornstein’s letter: “Mr. Trump has had a complete medical examination that showed only positive results. Actually, his blood pressure and lab results were astonishingly excellent.”
Generally testing positive on some labs, like cancer is not a good thing. I’m guessing our Idiot-in-Chief didn’t know that.

Welcome back Dr. Bornstein. As one of the few agents of comic relief in this nightmare drama, you have been missed.

Well, that’s probably all this latest story about the “raid” on his office is going to amount to, comic relief. Bornstein isn’t going to be able to claim with any credibility that the records were stolen, given that the folks who showed up at his office had, by his own account, his help in at least trying unsuccessfully to make copies of the records before they carted off the originals. And now it’s been over a year since the “theft”, so any post hoc claim that these people didn’t have his consent to taking the originals is not going to hold up very well. He could presumably get the originals back at this point, if he hasn’t already, but it does not seem particularly likely that they contain any information any more damaging to Trump than what we already know.

Isn’t it pretty obvious at this point? Quid pro quo. “Read my stupid notes on the physical you never gave me and I’ll give you VA Secretary whenever I get up the stones to fire Shulkin. Or just y’know whenever I tweet about it.”

Ya he’s the healthiest genius in the stable all right.

I think this raid opens up a can of worms. One has to wonder if Trump did the raid because he didn’t want the WH doctor to look at his full medical history. If he had his records transferred via HIPAA procedures, a copy of everything would have gone to the WH doc. There are things in his medical files that Trump doesn’t want his new doctor to see. No surprises there’s. Some of his medical tests were done with fake names. That wasn’t to protect someone from knowing his cholesterol reading. Possible things Trump may want to keep secret would be STD tests, HIV tests and paternity tests, IMO. It has crossed my mind that Trump may even have faked paternity test, if that is possible. I have to wonder if there might be some records related to this in the Cohen files, thus, it was timely that Trump’s former doctor is speaking out right now.

Bingo! If Bornstein does have some computer backup, like reaching out to the labs that did the tests, it would be so informative to compare to what Ronnie Jackson received. Unfortunately, it’ll likely never happen.

…Any 400 pound hackers free today?

I makes me very afraid for our country when I look at the doctors that 45 chooses.

I’m just guessing here, but if there are falsified test and test results( for paternity, HIV, STDs), that might be of interest to Stormy Daniel’s lawyer. No hacking needed if he can get them or depose Crazy Dr B. And Dr Bornstein has put enough “out there” to give the lawyers reason to believe there might be some faking going on.

my observation is more that he’s whimpering, right now.

If I was him, I would be acting really really scared of the big bad Trumpsters as loudly as I can. This is assuming his office staff will back up his story, of course.

In some of the clips that NBC is showing, Bornstein mentions something about Trump using weirder and weirder fake names on lab tests. At least that sounded like what he was saying. And of course, no reporter or pundit has mentioned that tidbit.

They don’t have them.

Without getting into personal details, primary care offices can unexpectedly close, important files that are kept forever at research institutions can get misfiled, computer systems can go down at critical times, or only contain “recent” records, or be changed and changed again and somehow lose little things like the kind of cancer you had and what your treatment was (but not the twenty-year follow-up visit “all-clear” report), old images that are suddenly critically relevant can be scheduled for deletion. All of those things have happened to me.

Don’t count on doctors to keep all your records. Usually CDs are free these days, and it is good to keep copies yourself especially of images like MRIs.

So, anyway computer records of labs and so on aren’t going to be kept longer than necessary, and that may mean long enough to send the results to the doctor. In any case, the interesting ones are probably under those various pseudonyms. Hmm.

It seems obvious to me that this whole thing was a run-around to prevent Trump’s records from being transferred in whole to Jackson. Is it really even conceivable that those records would have been couriered by a thug bodyguard Director of Oval Office Operations and some corporate, non-governmental lawyer instead of, say, a contingent of Naval Medical officers with the proper paperwork? (I mean, I’ve been in situations where the patient hand-carried original medical records around e.g. from appointment to appointment in a large, pre-computerized institution, but that was the eighties, and back then you could still look at the card in a library book to see the names and social security numbers of everyone who had checked it out too.)

It makes no sense at all, really, to send mobster types to make threats, except of course, that everyone involved considered Trump a mobster type already.

At first glance it’s only comical to hear from Dr. Lebowski and how Trump’s goons took away his favorite rug. But it becomes much more fascinating in context to Trump’s fawning adulation to Dr. Ronny Jackson, which is approaching Putinesque levels. Take Trump’s statement calling Jackson “an American Hero”, an astounding bit of whatthefuckery even from him. But filtered through Trump-colored glasses (mirrored shades where the lenses were installed backwards), Trump really does think Jackson’s a hero, because Trump had this horrible / embarrassing medical detail about to get released and Jackson Saved The Day by lying his ass off about it. That also explains why Trump’s still going after Tester - Trump doesn’t understand anything about “ethics” that would keep Jackson from spilling details, so he’s angry he can’t serve up the VA for him as a bribe to keep him quiet.

(As for the medical condition itself, my rampant speculation is that it’s impotence-related, as that would answer the Third Great Mystery about Trump - namely, how in the hell has he gone this long at thei White House without groping someone?)
