Another report that will never see the light of day on FOX.
The scandal behind this entire sordid affair is that the media latched onto the few VA bureaucrats who manipulate the “wait lists” rather than focus on why the god damned lists were there to begin with. The sordid truth is that Republicans filibustered Senator Sanders bill to provide more funding to the VA last February at exactly the time the problems at McCains hometown VA center were revealed. Once the media lights were shining on the VA and Senator Sanders reintroduced his bill onto the Senate floor all the recalcitrant, obstructionist Repugs got on board and voted for virtually the same bill 93-3. Cynical political gamesmanship at the expense of the veterans returning from wars they voted for. Our own filibustering Lisa Murkowski showed up at the Anchorage VA with her photo op “oh so concerned” look and never was called out on her filibuster participation just four months prior. Even NPR dropped the ball in a long segment themed “No One Wants to Be Seen Voting Against Veterans” but never mentioning the filibuster of Sander’s bill by all Republican Senators just four months prior. The scandal is that the VA has been chronically underfunded and understaffed for decades and not one effort was put into preparing for the return of the tens of thousands of grievously wounded in mind, body and soul from Bush’s wars of choice. Damn the dirty rotten bastards and the media that enables them to get away with it to hell!!
