If we really are concerned about a Russian attempt to divide our country and discredit our political system then the best thing we can do is put aside our infighting, stop presuming guilt

Trump/Cohen: Lock Her Up

I’m very proud to have served Donald J. Trump for all these years, and I’ll continue to support him.

Cohen: I am begging Trump to pardon me. I will never utter a word against him.

Here’s your typical Trump bot. Faced with a mountain of evidence, deny everything, characterize the investigation as political, play the aggrieved victim. We’ll see, fuckwad

Nothing surprising in the statement. What should be interesting are the substance of the questions and his responses. Alas its a closed session, and the Senate Commitee isn’t all leaky like the WH - so we probably won’t learn anything much about what is said.

On the ‘intelligence community’ subject and who got away with what, there is a very good documentary out called ‘A good American’. A must see. Here’s the link.

I sure hope that statement isn’t intended to be under oath. Although I can see a bunch of places where Cohen thinks he was really effective with the misleading weasel-wording.

Political spin is not a legal defense against collusion with Russian intelligence agencies. What Cohen will say to a Grand Jury is much more important than what he says to a congressional investigative committee.

Nailed it.

Looks like people with an egotistical sense of self-entitlement sometimes do get rewarded for it. And Cohen’s prize may be a “congressional subpoena”. It’s kinda like getting a fruit basket for an Xmas bonus, but with less pineapples and more prunes:

NBC politics says they cancelled because they felt he violated their agreement not to talk to the press about it. They will now subpoena him (possibly for public testimony). It’s an early report, waiting for more confirmation.

Edit: Confirmed. Burr tweeted a joint statement from the leaders of Senate Intel.

He’s a whiny little bitch, just like his boss.

So wait…

He, or someone in his office, wrote that lovely lying statement and now he can’t give it?

When did they cancel the hearing?

Wonder if he knows that making false statements to Congress is illegal.

Reminds me quite a bit of Sessions’ in front of the Committee, raising his little voice to declare what an outrage, yes an outrage suh that his honor was impugned by the false accusations against him and he never met with Russians either.

Except for the 3 times we know he lied about.

Seems like they cancelled it a few hours after he showed up.

“Kill All The Lawyers” If Richard the III met this miscreant he would have given his head a couple more days airing out on a pike.
