That depends on the Congress that we give her. It would also help immensely if we looked more critically and consistently at the the governors and legislators running the state we live in. Gerry Mander walked into too many state houses unimpeded because the doors weren’t secured with ballots.
Yeah, I think she needs to play this as open-book as possible and just say what she means and mean what she says. No sophistry (to the extent possible), no snide digs or I’m-smarter-than-you smugness, no heavy-handed warpathing, no personal attacks, focused on the issues and promoting her positions rather than focused on tearing down the opposition’s…just straight up “I’m going to tell it like it is and if you do’t like it, I don’t care” and down to business. If she plays it right, avoids appearing like a trained and evasive talking point parrot and avoids giving the Teatrolls and MSM their hoped-for opportunity to paint her as a screeching harpy, instead giving the appearance of rationality, thoughtfulness and cool-headed analysis of the facts/data, the GOP/Teatrolls will be doing her job for her by playing all their games and handing out all their tinfoil hatted conspiracy bullshit, tryign to tear her down, playing the politics of personal destruction and pretending that this is the next new vanguard of an imaginary revolution.
The 1950s: Republican Eisenhower in the White House, who begins the largest American infrastructure and job creation project in US history - the interstate highway system; union membership at or near it’s peak; a truly progressive federal income tax structure that feeds a thriving middle class; corporation assets developing the domestic economy; sensible regulations govern Wall Street and banking. Is it that 1950s that you fear the GOP/Teatrolls want to to resurrect?
I liked Ike, then and now!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Well stated and cannot be stated enough … until the job is done!!
Point taken. But I suspect he’s thinking more in terms of the constant war footing, segregation, witch hunting, blacklisting, and lynching with impunity as long as cursory efforts to conceal your identity were taken.
definitely. The Democrats need to fight at all levels- something that a certain former governor of my home state of Vermont once pushed before Obama became President.
