Nonetheless, White House Counsel Don McGahn sought to slow walk the decision.

Whatever McGahn mighta said to others, I can’t get away from the suspicion that his defense of the investigation was primarily meant to further Turtle’s Senate’s moves to pack the Federal bench with Federalist Society luminaries.

Good to see someone finally realized Miller’s a screed-writer, not a speech-writer.

"Trump however insisted against his advisors’ counsel that a reference to the Russia probe still be included in the cover letter announcing the termination that was released with Rosenstein’s recommendation."

Was this translated from the original German?

If you are able to fire someone without cause, as the President had the right to do with Comey, the last thing you want to do is put in writing the reason why you are firing them. Otherwise you put yourself at risk of having to explain and justify that reason later on, like in a legal proceeding.

Except a stupid Scooby Doo villain usually gets caught and pays for his/her stupid plan.

Yes, and how does that come about? Meddling kids.

It’s not over yet.

Why do I loathe Stephen Miller so much? I think that I might actually loathe him more than Trump. Amazing. Maybe it’s because one guy is stupid, corrupt, racist and authoritarian, while the other guy is stupid, smarmy, evil, a racist Nazi and authoritarian. Or maybe because Miller looks like a dirty big toe (even worse when he paints “hair” on his head), while the other guy looks like a vain bloated old fart who’s stupid enough to think he’s fooling people with his pathetic mangy comb-over.

Americans hate Nazis. Except for the Americans that are Nazis.

Anti-Nazism got baked into the culture pretty thoroughly by all the post-WWII media that valorized the Allies. A lot of kids these days spend their free time shooting literal Nazis in video games.

I guess it’s only a matter of time before Medal of Honor: Making MOH Great Again complicates the picture with a “Good People On Both Sides” campaign.
