Shorter GOP: You don’t get it – an unhealthy population is an asset for America. We’ve expanded the death panels to cover the entire country!

They are rationing heathcare for middle/lower class workers, in order to give tax cuts to billionaires.

So states’ rights applies to how states allocate Medicaid monies (block grants) but does not apply to a woman’s right to choose. That is a federal mandate. Do I have that right, John Barasso, John Cornyn, Mitch, Orrin, and all you other chauvinist jerks on that side of the aisle?

Planned Parenthood safe? That’s a riot.

The states are handling gutting PP. They’ve gutted it in Texas down the point where women are actually dying.

I wrote this somewhere else, but I am also finding this morning’s “circus” over the release of the bill to be really offensive. I’m expecting balloons to drop and dancers to appear any moment. Paul Ryan just smiled and said he hasn’t read the bill because he’s been busy in a way that seems to equate this to choosing what to order from the approved lunch menu. Can’t one member of the media say, “I beg your pardon, but this is life-and-death business!” [Bravo to the medicaid recipients who are demonstrating outside Mitch McConnell’s office.]

The Trump GOP Senate bill evidently is as terrible as predicted. Tax cuts for the rich paid for by killing insurance coverage for tens of millions. Expect so-called Moderate Trump GOP senators to vote for this evil bill en masse, with perhaps one or two allowed to dissent for political reasons.

Only cover 58% of costs? Time to start an insurance company! 42% for overhead, profit, and CEO pay and golden parachute!

Yeah, I’m familiar with Godwin’s Law but that’s still not going to stop me from comparing this genocidal atrocity to the Wannsee Conference.

States like NY that require health plans to cover abortions will be forced out of the exchange all together, costing their citizens access to federal tax subsidies.

Well, there were 6,000 of them at the Iowa-Nuremberg rally last night.

(But again, low energy since the hall can hold 9,000+).

The People’s Health Care Solution Act of 2017:

  1. Single Payer System (essentially, Medicare for Everyone)
  2. Subsidize kale, spinach, beets, garlic, onions, beans, broccoli, asparagus until they are almost free
  3. Regulate the sugar industry and make it illegal to sell sugary foods/drinks in public schools
  4. Air PSAs encouraging kids (and adults) to eat better and to avoid sugar as much as possible
  5. End or greatly reduce subsidies to the animal protein industry (beef, pork, lamb, chicken, etc)
  6. Allow Medicare/Medicaid to negotiate pharmaceutical prices with drug manufacturers (duh!)

Once these steps are taken, demand for health care services will plummet, along with the price. It’s a free market solution based on “demand and supply”. Lower the demand and the price of health care services will fall. Period.

Rinse and repeat.

Ha ha!

I had a feeling this was coming because there are so called GOP moderates who will get killed if they go along with this.
