Discussion: READ: Michael Flynn's Resignation Letter

His passport should be immediately revoked before he retires to Russia forever to live out his life as a Russian hero.

We have had odd balls post here before. They don’t last long. But there are lawyers here (not me). And lots of veterans as well.

Flynn claimed honesty and integrity. Yet in the letter he fibs about his contscts with the Russians.

Résumé padding?

Trump Administration – Even their resignation letters are amateur-hour bullshit.

Good ol’ boys just locker-room talking it up

“I know with the strong leadership of President Donald J. Trump and Vice President Mike Pence and the superb team they are assembling, this team will go down in history as one of the greatest presidencies in U.S. history, and I firmly believe the American people will be well served as they all work together to help Make America Great Again.”

Well, at least he got the “go down” part right.

Hi All,

I’m sure you all remember (it wasn’t that long ago!) that Trump’s and Flynn’s and Manafort’s bootlicking of Putin and the Russian regime were well established during the election season, and every deplorable who voted for Trump knew it. Please be sure to mention it to any Trump voters whom you come across when discussing the current scandal, either online or in person. Also, don’t forget to continuously label the Trump administration as REPUBLICAN, and tie bootlicking of the Russian regime to Republican politics in general. This matters for the 2018 election, and it is not dishonest.

Thank you!

I have always performed my duties with the utmost of integrity and honesty to those I have served, to include the President

We all know ‘Trump’ is spelled with all i’s

Caitlin writes:

In his resignation letter, Flynn apologized for not informing Trump and Vice President Mike Pence about the details of his calls with the Russian ambassador ahead of inauguration. [my emphasis]

In fact, as I think @Josh is pointing out, Flynn actually only specified that he misled Pence. (See below.) Caitlin should correct this.

“Unfortunately, because of the fast pace of events, I inadvertently briefed the Vice President Elect and others with incomplete information regarding my phone calls with the Russian Ambassador. I have sincerely apologized to the President and the Vice President, and they have accepted my apology,” he wrote.

Day 25. It’s Day 25 and the first of the sacrificial scapegoats are being slaughtered. Took more than a year for that to happen in Watergate.

Chiselin’ Trump better watch out: Look who’s got General Flynn’s back:

Oh, come now, I hardly think that’s fair. In fact I’m ready to say that Flynn’s career has been highly distinguished. Distinguished for incompetence, for irascibility, for chaotic management style, and for getting just about everyone around him to hate him. For starters.
