A pardon from Trump now on the federal convictions will be a moot point and useless gesture given these new charges.

The message here is: “Donald, you and the rest of your corrupt band of shills, grifters, and gangsters are going to jail for a hundred years.”

“I’m gonna do every crime!” ends up being a bad life strategy. Who knew?

Interesting, Cyrus Vance Jr. has a history, IIRC ? Is he in the 2020 race ?

I think this applies today - The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness.

if you know nothing about nothing you should be quiet

I don’t know if T.S. Ellis acted in a less-than-honorable fashion in his sentencing of Paul Manafort. Absent hard evidence (like, an actual paper trail or something), I refuse to weigh the question. A judge’s role is to judge, and I try to take the declared-apolitical nature of our justice system very, very seriously. So to me, the following is and shall always be a hypothetical.

If Judge Ellis acted in a less-than-honorable fashion in his rather lenient sentencing of Manafort, I hope he’s watching the news right now and not feeling so hot about the choices he made, selling out what he professes to defend for zero ultimate payoff.

Looks like 3 class B felonies and a few smaller felonies. Not quite sure but in theory the maximum sentence for class B is 24 years and no less than 1-3

Hallelujah! I usually have trouble spelling that correctly the first time. Today it literally leapt onto the page.
