I hadn’t heard before that in this same tape they discuss attempts to unseal the divorce decree with Ivana. I’m assuming that’s because of the allegations of physical abuse?
And why would McDougal (I assume) not “want this,” according to Trump (who is restating what Cohen has told him)?
Anyway. Curiouser and curiouser.
JFC. This sounds like a clip from every B-grade Mafia movie ever made. Oh, wait…
“Maybe he gets hit by a truck.” I wonder who that little gem was about? Sounds like a threat. Does anyone know, or am I the only one wondering about that?
I thought the reference about getting hit by a truck was the person who agreed to sit on the McDougal story. I thought the “woman” who didn’t want the divorce agreement out there was probably Ivana. But what I want to know is, what is the “Charleston” thing?
They do sound like gangsters for sure.
It refers to David Pecker
“Get me a Coke”
“Give it to me and get me a…”
Asshole never says please and thank you.
That’s him, the innocent man we all love, respect, and pray for. God’s chosen one who … oh, fuck this, I can’t pretend to be one of his braindead supporters, even in jest.
Just imagine the never-ending spiral if Hillary had ever been recorded alluding to a truck hitting someone. Clouds and shadows to the horizon and back … but her emails indeed.
It was probably a campaign appearance. Recall that this conversation occurred in 2016.
The woman who doesn’t “want this” is probably a reference to Ivana. Trump is saying Ivana doesn’t want the divorce decree unsealed. Likely that is because he already paid her off for that. I think,Ivana accused Trump of rape, but later recanted.
Wow. The guy did a great job. Maybe it won’t be replaced?
President Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame has been smashed into pieces by a man with a pick ax. https://on.msnbc.com/2OdbKxk - @NBCLA
If you listen carefully, it sounds like Richard LeFrak was calling.
Ivana’s Divorce Complaint included several paragraphs detailing an incident where Donald Trump raped her because he was experiencing pain from his hair transplant plugs. Ivana apparently was not understanding enough or empathic enough about his pain from his hair transplants. So, he not only raped her, but yanked on her hair violently while raping her. It was in her Complaint, filed by her lawyer and sworn to by her. That is under seal. I am sure there was a Non-Disclosure obligation imposed upon her in return for the monetary settlement she received and the child support etc. The issue of the Rape allegation in the Divorce Complaint was also the subject of Michael Cohen’s recorded and well publicized telephone threat to a Daily Beast Reporter who was pursuing the story.
MARCH 21, 1973
DEAN: … where, where are the soft spots on this? Well, first of all, there’s the, there’s the problem of the continued blackmail
PRESIDENT: Right.
DEAN: …which will not only go on now, it’ll go on when these people are in prison, and it will compound the obstruction of justice situation. It’ll cost money. It’s dangerous. Nobody, nothing–people around here are not pros at this sort of thing. This is the sort of thing Mafia people can do: washing money, getting clean money, and things like that, uh-- we’re–we just don’t know about those (noise) things, because we’re-not used to, you know–we are not criminals and not used to dealing in that business. It’s, uh, it’s, uh–
PRESIDENT: That’s right.
DEAN: It’s tough thing to know how to do.
PRESIDENT: Maybe we can’t even do that.
DEAN: That’s right. It’s a real problem as to whether we could even do it. Plus there’s a real problem in raising money. Uh, Mitchell has been working on raising some money. Uh, feeling he’s got, you know, he’s got one, he’s one of the ones with the most to lose. Uh, but there’s no denying the fact that the White House, and uh, Ehrlichman, Haldeman,
Dean are involved in some of the early money decisions.
PRESIDENT: How much money do you need?
DEAN: I would say these people are going to cost, uh, a million dollars over the next, uh, - two years. (Pause) PRESIDENT: We could get that.
DEAN: Uh, huh.
PRESIDENT: You, on the money, if you need the money, I mean, uh’ you could get the money. Let’s say–
DEAN: Well, I think that we’re going–
PRESIDENT: What I mean is, you could, you could get a million dollars. And you could get it in cash. I, I know where it could be gotten.
They left out some key words: “Russia, if you’re listening—I really, REALLY don’t like Susan McDougal. I would (sic) mind if she were knocked off, really!”
Oh, now I see. I believe Trump is complaining about the missing exculpatory words in this tweet:
Why on God’s still somewhat good and marginally green Earth would I ever give two shits about a transcript prepared by Trump’s legal team? Jesus H. Christ, the transcripts Nixon tried to pawn off in lieu of actually producing the tapes were more credible than anything coming from that cesspit full of water moccasins.
I noticed one “please” and it was striking. He’s obviously got a less “alpha” persona at home.
Who was Trump talking with on the phone? It says “babe” in transcript but sounded liked “Pam” on the recording. Also, what is this “this” that will blow over soon? Yet another scandal?
Another question–Wasn’t this “company” the same LLC that paid Stormy Daniels and the Elliot Broidy hush money? So those came after this discussion?
If this was released by the Trump team, why was the name Richard Lefrak (the NYC developer), clearly mentioned on the tape, referred to as “unintelligible?” Any New Yorker would know that name.
Or if she’d made reference to a pizza delivery.
