Discussion: READ: Christie Ally's Plea Agreement

Discussion for article #235893

Nothing on MSM yet. They are preoccupied with the charges being brought against the police in Baltimore and I understand it is a big deal. I wonder how they will try to whitewash this. I also wonder how Ms. Mika Brezinski and Joe Scar are going to spin this.

LOL, replaying Christie joking that he placed the cones down himself will look even worse now. So, so petty and stupid.

For whatever it means, Wildstein now looks like this.

I see the weight loss as pure stress.

I’m not sure what it means either, but thanks for posting. The change is shocking.

Well he gets a break. If I remember correctly his testimony at the time, under oath, was it was not about revenge and was a “traffic study” that consisted of “lane realignments”. You or I do that and we get the perjury beef too.

Some may overeat with stress, others stop eating (my mom was one), clearly that’s the case here.

Looks like he went from the Kristy Kreme diet to the humiliated, depressed, broke, indicted, possibly doing jail time diet.

EDIT: Read yesterday he dropped 91 lbs.

RICO charges coming…

I hope they have him in protective custody. I suspect there are some very unhappy people in New Jersey today and some may be saying: one who sings like canary soon swims with the fishes.

Almost like he is changing his appearance to go into hiding or something…

Indeed. They also haven’t yet figured out how to cook up a counter-narrative that keeps Christie in the “horse race” conversation for 2016 after these revelations. I think they’re sort of reeling over it at this point and haven’t decided how or even if he can be saved they can still do something to save him.

Nothing like the mental and emotional anguish of facing prison time to fuck the appetite right out of you…

I think you’re referring to Baroni, not Wildstein. And as Mr. Fischman explained in his afternoon press conference, that could possibly bring a state charge as those statements were delivered before a state congressional panel. But he has no federal jurisdiction to address perjury charges.

OK… this covers maybe a week of this guy’s job at the port authority. Through this we see a broad outline of how he used his political appointment to apply the power of the governor to the bureaucracy. We see a tiny peep hole into how Christie governs. What else did Wildstein accomplish during his stay at the port authority? Are there other ‘wildsteins’ planted in the other NJ bureaucracies that are still in place and still pulling the power levers for Christie in the pursuit of illicit goals?

Shouldn’t that read Christie’s ally? Isn’t Christie Ally a movie star?
