“I do not believe it would be in the public’s interest for me to attempt to summarize the full report…”

Funny.

“Really, William. You don’t say! Aren’t you a quick study? … Yeah, don’t answer that.”

The first, second and third items listed are legit reasons to redact material. It should be done by the SCO’s office, not at Barr’s level. The fourth reason is the bullshit reason they use to bury the incriminating material. If they’re legit, they’ll just redact names. If they’re covering up, they’ll redact tons.

I’m still not sure but what Barr might have some kind of regard for his place in history.

Not to be cynical to flow with the demands of the current era but I half suspect some manufactured event to occur before that to take away the spotlight from the contents of the report. Perhaps some Barr directed indictmentd of some members of the Resistance within or outside the DOJ. Is McCabe under investigation?

“Exclusive of tables and appendices.” I wonder how many pages of those there are, and what they contain. A graph of grift? A chart of chiseling and chicanery? Maybe a table showing the relative Shady AFness of various members of Trump’s circle?

Did I really read “The Honorable Linsey Graham”?

Sometimes autocorrect gets “Horrible” wrong.

I wonder who that might be. Perhaps a relative of Senator Lindsey Graham?

Barr also says that his Sunday letter to Congress that provided his top-line conclusions of the report “was not, and did not purport to be, an exhaustive recounting of the Special Counsel’s investigation or report.”

This is obviously very good news for Donald Trump.

Ok… So how about sharing the full report, now, with the Gang of 8?

Then can get back to redacting…

"accordingly, there are no plans to submit the report to the White House for a privilege review.” uh-huh.

Thank you Mainstream media, Democrat (and some Republicans) for keeping the pressure on.
It’s the people’s government.
It was paid for with the people $$$.
He AG and DOJ work for the people, not the President.

So what’s the over-under in how many of those “over 400 pages” are redacted? I’m going with 350.

I fully expect him to be a complete pissbaby about it

The full report includes the intercepted phone call between Trump and Putin where Trump said, “I would never accept russkie aid in my election, it’s shameful for you to even hint at giving me help! You can take your Trump Tower Moscow and shove it up your arse! Just so you know, I’m calling the FBI when I finish this phone call. As a patriotic American, I’m shocked that you would try to turn me into a spy for you!”

If the report is 400+ pages, the appendices will be at least 3X that number. It’s a lawyer rule.

ETA: More seriously, the appendices really are likely to be much longer than the report proper. The talking heads who know and have worked with Mueller say he is nothing if not thorough, and that he likely carved out most of the classified information into the appendices.

Yes. On the whole, the noises this letter makes are the right noises.
