Discussion for article #227877
A nice long battle royale with the Kansas Republican Secretary of State trying to force the Democrats to run a candidate so their guy can win should do wonders for Roberts’ poll numbers.
Over at RCP, Rasmussen is using all three names on the ballot, so they record it as a Roberts +1. Anyone know why Pollster has GOP odds at 56 percent and a Dem hold of the Senate at 44? Are they really taking a Vox Populi poll of New Hampshire seriously? One would think that the Dem odds have improved since the Kansas decision…Sam Wang has the Dems at 93 percent if the election were held today.
People here already believe Kobach is a fool for demanding Taylor stay on the ballot. These shenanigans he’s pulling in the courts are souring his image in the eyes of people who thought he was OK before.
He’s cutting his own throat.
Edit: Oh, and I seriously doubt any Democrat would step up at this point in the game, especially because the R’s are squealing for one to jump in. They’re fucked.
I thought a doofus image was a Bagger selling point.
So in that photo… Orman’s lapel pin has the US/Kansas flags, and it looks like Robertson’s has US/and what looks like some other red flag on it… I know it’s not Virginia.
I’ll bet half the people who voted for him didn’t/don’t know any details about his shady dealings, it’s just that he was a member of the party they always voted for and he ran plenty of wholesome ads before he was elected. This fiasco shines a revealing light on the dirty scumbag.
If Rasmussen has him up by 5 that means he’s really up by about 8.
Yes…I guess at some point the Koch marching orders clash with the situation on the ground with people who simply are loyal to the Republican Party and not zealots.
No, Virginia’s flag has a royal blue background. I used Google to find an image with a large version of what appears to be that same pin, and it’s definitely red, but I can’t make out enough details to determine what it might be.
The picture is on this page:

It’s the third picture in the slide show that is not quite halfway down the page. You can enlarge it by right-clicking and electing to display the picture in another window, or whatever comparable choice your browser gives you.
He’s cutting his own throat-- because David Koch has Kobach’s soul locked in a tiny metal box.

Looks like this…
Just say’n
Kobach isn’t helping, Brownback is why Roberts is in trouble and a tuna sandwich could get elected in Kansas before the Koch Republicans that have devastated the state and are about as unpopular as the Bush administration.
Koch and teabags are a bad combination.
“When Rasmussen gave respondents a choice among all three candidates, Taylor received 9 percent of the vote and Roberts held a slight edge over Orman, 39 percent to 38 percent.”
Who got the other 14%?
Well one silver lining is Kobach is spending all his effort on that and not some other nefarious deed.
Are any of these polls, as long as they are polling Kansas for the Senate race, polling the SoS race as well? How is Kobach doing in the polls?
The latest news is that the military ballots will go out tomorrow WITHOUT the Dem on them. This makes sense from a GOP perspective since military personnel tend to vote Republican. I still want the Dems to pull a RufusTFirefly (all praise his name!) and find a Dem names Pat Roberts to put on the ballot. Oh the Joy! Happy Happy, Joy Joy!!!
If they’re fucked they know who did it to them.
you should have added a Bwwwwwhahahahahahahahaha or any other evil sounding laugh
Orman needs to get REALLY out in front. There are always a couple thousand last-minute chickenshits who decide Gawd will smite them if they don’t vote Republican.
