Discussion for article #228230

Tea Party Taqiyya…pretend you’re a populist when you’re actually a rabid reactionary.

Kids today crave discipline. And Mistress Clinton, in her shiny boots of leather and a Smartphone that shines like justice, is just the what they are looking for.

I think there are a lot of young people who are one issue voters. They may indeed be anti war or anti-“authoritarian”. These are the same people that fueled his dad’s presidential run, with their REVOLUTION!campaign. And we see how that ended.
We know his party is beating the drum for boots on the ground. We also know McCain will be there to try to “influence” him.

But there are a good amount of young voters that are for choice, for raising the minimum wage, for college tuition decreases, for voting rights, for immigration reform, for civil rights, for equal pay, etc. I’d love to see how Rand Paul navigates that minefield - particularly since he’s etch-a-sketched himself into a pretzel being for something and the following week being against it.

“Paul said he doesn’t think Republicans are trying to suppress the minority vote,”

Young people (and people in general) also don’t like it when you lie to them in the face.

He doesnt navigate it, he takes a quick bite and runs away.

Maybe he could take up some positions that actually benefit young people, instead of hurting them? That might be a good place to start from.

This wig wearing, yokel with the whinny voice won’t get enough young people to vote for him. Those libertarian doofus types might fall for his home spun plagarism but, Hillary will get the majority of young Dems to vote for her. His weak attempts to sound like a Democrat will fall flat and African Americans are not fooled by him either. He will be crushed by Hillary!

The replica model will not be any more successful than the original.

Rand Paul one week:

A week ago today, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) wrote an op-ed for the Wall Street Journal condemning “interventionists,” who are quick to use military force abroad “with little thought to the consequences.” Over the course of his 900-word piece, the Republican senator was dismissive of the “hawkish members of my own party.”

“A more realistic foreign policy would recognize that there are evil people and tyrannical regimes in this world, but also that America cannot police or solve every problem across the globe,”

Rand Paul another week:

“If I were President,” Paul wrote in an email to the Associated Press, “I would call a joint session of Congress. I would lay out the reasoning of why ISIS is a threat to our national security and seek congressional authorization to destroy ISIS militarily.”

And don’t think Hillary’s Oppo research people won’t feature this in one of their ads. He’s a complete novice who is going to get pantsed by the Clinton Machine!

What young people like are sons of people who bribe voters. Or maybe not.

Young voters won’t support a guy like rand Paul who has no
core values, heaps student loan debt, denies women the right to choose, denies
young voters the right to vote and espouses polices that only benefit the wealthy

Pro-tip, Randy: you don’t know shit about “what the young people think.”

Seems to me someone who has said they are OK using a drone strike on someone who shoplifts from a liquor store isn’t really credible when it comes to labeling other people authoritarian.

Yeah. Sure. “Young People” (condescending right there) will vote for a wig-wearing, self-credentialed failed ophthalmologist who changed his first name to “RAND” in honor of of his hero: Ayn Rand.
Sure they will.

There, fixed it for ya

That should have been shortened to “Paul said he doesn’t think.”

Am I imagining it or is this AP article fawning over a Rand Paul candidacy?

Its ironic to me that Poodlehead is the son of a fascist-loving and racist States Rights father. That’s the very definition of authoritarianism you asshole. To call out HRC on that is nothing more than a uneducated cheap shot. Might want to look in your own backyard first, buddy. Somewhere Randy read that young people are “anti-authoritarian” and rebellious little boogers…and he should know…he’s still acting like he’s 14 or 15 years old. That’s probably around the time his emotional growth became stunted.

The AP fellates Rand Paul with numbing regularity.
