GOP office seekers are keen to disparage “establishment” politicians in their ranks, and tout they deserve your vote because they’re not of the establishment. I never see the term defined precisely. Does “mainstream” serve as a synonym for “establishment”. And if you’re not establishment what are you? Fringe? Extreme? Independent? Why do you deserve election to office simply by virtue of being fringe? If most Americans are mainstream or establishment, why would someone dissimilar to their camp deserve to represent them, seemingly solely because of what they aren’t?

A True Conservative.

Duh.

Well its the same as on the Democratic side. “establishment” = anyone I don’t agree with or doesn’t agree with me.

“No, it’s done somewhat in the open, but they’re biased in favor of the establishment”

And so they are left with Trump and Cruz. Hysterical.

"I don't think they're rigged, but they are biased. And intentionally so," said Paul

Which, of course, explains why your father never got close to the nomination, and why, apparently, neither will you.

I do think as a general proposition Dems are more tolerant of unconventional approaches to solving problems. Jerry Brown just signed a $15 minimum wage law. In Tennessee the Republican legislature and Executive branch would view this as insane heresy deserving of banishment from party ranks.

The new buzzword.

Too late, Ayn Rand. Polling indicates that 99 44/100% of people forgot that you represent Alabama.

Neither party trusts their base, which is why both have mechanisms in place to deny the primary voters their choice if necessary.

We’ve “progressed” from smoke-filled back rooms to obscure party rules to make sure power brokers ultimately get their way.

OK… ANOTHER whiny ‘take personal responsibility’ complaining that the rules set BEFORE they were running complaining that the fix is in because it wasn’t biased toward them…

I’d actually expect Clown Boy to be the whiner he looks like…

the REALLY bad thing is they try to follow this logic and apply it to the parts of the Constitution the don’t plan to actually uphold…

NO VOTE FOR YOU JUDGE GARLAND!!!

I actually agree with the rule that someone who hasn’t won at least X amount of states isn’t eligible to be the nominee. I don’t have any use for any of these people, but I do think someone should’ve had to at least go through the grueling process for the nomination in order to get it. And there should be at least enough interest shown by the voters to win a little less than 10% of the states. It’s funny and quite typical that Mr. Free Free Freedom would rather delegates install a candidate than for the candidates to have to actually campaign. I swear, Rand Paul is a walking talking contradictory hypocrite.

Is Rand Paul in Kentucky as much as Chris Christie’s in New Jersey? His email newsletters always show alleged ‘meets’ but I suspect he’s blue-screened into the shot.

• ted cruz drop out.
i don’t want any libertarian like mitt romney, rand paul, carly fiorina, ted cruz, paul ryan, scott walker, jim gilmore, rick santorum, nor rick perry!
i had to vote against romney last election the last minute when he switched to libertarianism the last moment and got libertarian idealist paul ryan! i regret it, but i now would do it again if they repeat ryan or romney. i actually made the right decision. they’re two faced.
for the moment, im borderline on jindal, trump, and rubio. if they back or run with a libertarian like cruz, romney, ryan, or any of the above mentioned, im against them.
i like ben carson, chris christie, mike huckabee, george pataki, and john kasich!
i will support anyone that has them on their ticket!
john kasich, a real winner, gl!

I think everyone here is grateful for that insight.

Republican primaries are biased, that is why longtime Republican insider Donald Trump is winning.

Sarcazm aside, Rand Paul is a scam artist. When he couldn’t get board certified on opthamology, he made up his own fake certifying board. He should do the same thing here, make up his own fake political party.

And go after the scientoligist, aqua buddha, and other fake religion vote.
