Please tell that comment was sarcasm.
Ah, but of course each of the clips will be ātaken out of context.ā
Maybe we can get Christie to coach him.
If anyone had told me ten years ago that Katie Couric and Savannah Guthrie were going to be the pit bulls that brought down āmajorā (because you see them everywhere and all the press clamor to publish everything they say and do) candidates for President, I would have laughed. Not anymore.
Perhaps Rand Paul thinks heās cute enough to get away with Sarah Palinās ploy during her only debate, when she told the moderator she wouldnāt be answering the questions she is asked but just saying whatever she wants. She wasnāt. And neither is he. Isnāt anybody close to him embarrassed for him?
No kidding. Would love to be a fly on that wall.
Is Ted Cruz paying off Rand Paul to make him look better?
He has a long way to go to get to Newt territory though. Where if you quote him, you are lying.
Seems like in his private lexicon, āeditorializingā means āasking me a pretty obvious question I nevertheless hadnāt anticipated or prepared for because I suck at this.ā
āIām an asshole with both male and female reporters.ā
Rand Paul
Fixed that for yaā, Randy.
Randās personality is typical of doctors. How dare anyone question them!
Particularly the self-certifying kind.
English is a second language to me. Can someone tell me the meaning of the verbā¦
āto editorializeā?
Does it mean act like an editor? Cutting copy, adjusting deadlines sending reporters on assignments and such. If that is the case, neither of the individuals with whom Rand Paul was angry acted like Perry White.
Paul said if heās been interviewed by someone whoās editorializing "you feel somewhat at a loss on the other end.
And this guy that āfeel[s] somewhat at a lossā when dealing with an interview where his dick isnāt getting sucked wants the American people to trust him with the power to press the button?
Anger management issues.
Just the sort of person we DO NOT WANT HAVING ACCESS TO THE NUCLEAR LAUNCH CODES!!!
They might as well have, because if I remember correctly Perry White mostly pounded his fists on his desk and bellowed āReport to the cashier! YOUāRE FIRED!ā Which is pretty much Randās situation.
O.T. I know, but there isnāt any other place to put this:
Does it bother anyone else that TPM has an advertisement on its site for TransCanada formatted like an article? Granted, it does say āSponsor Messageā in a box above it, but it still seems inappropriate, as it resembles actual TPM content. And this is the first time I have seen an ad formatted like that.
Rand has joined a long list of Republican presidential wannabes who feel that members of the news media should act as though they are working for the candidatesā public relations departments, only asking them the questions that they WANT to be asked.
I think Rand is using āeditorializeā more in the sense of an āEditorial,ā which is basically a piece in the Opinion section of a newspaper that expressās the views or opinions of the newspapers Editorial staff. So basically he is accusing the reporters he jumped at of injecting their own opinions into the questions they asked.
The adjective POMP-ASS is accurate to describe this self-aggrandizing huckster.
āāI think Iāve been universally short tempered and testy with both male and female reporters. Iāll own up to that,ā Paul said.ā
Thatās not gonna be a selling point Rand. The media can ruin your run, donācha know?
