Discussion: Rand Paul Disowns Clive Bundy: 'I Wholeheartedly Disagree'

Discussion for article #221943

As usual, when libertarians unleash their bromides that sound pleasing to pot dealers and such, I am left confused as to the details of exactly how the particular piece of the Freedom Utopia agenda would work.

Is he saying would prefer for the federal government just have One Big Agency with SWAT teams that get used to enforce the laws administered by every department and agency when law breakers break out the guns and camo? Because that doesn’t sound very freedomy.

Or could it be that what he really wants is for us to have to send in Army or National Guard units whose train to respond to military threats and would thus believe the proper response is to call in artillery strikes and armor and Apache gunships to wipe 'em off the face of the Earth?

Or is he saying the federal government should have no capacity whatsoever to enforce federal law when people resist it by force of arms?

Or is he saying that we should privatize federal law enforcement and pay independent contractors to deal with armed resistance to federal law?

I’m suspecting it’s one of the latter two.

We also shouldn’t have elected officials personally making millions of dollars from government programs while simultaneously running around and campaigning against said programs.

So, let me get this straight.

Everyone should be able to carry weapons except the federal agencies?

Too late, Rug Head. They’ve got this thing called the Internet? And cell phone cameras? And The Google? You’re on record and it’s going to continue to bite you on the ass.

You’re never, ever, ever going to be President, you tiny little man.

Yeah, those comments about slavery were disgusting, weren’t they?! Doesn’t Bundy realize that we have to be much more subtle in implementing our bigotry, you know, like claiming it’s about property rights and freedom?

I would love to hear exactly which laws Mr. Paul thinks the federal government is violating.

He also seems to think federal agencies shouldn’t carry weapons but untrained militia with absolutely no authority should.

“I wholeheartedly disagree with this great American patriot.”

Republicans sure have lousy taste in heroes of late. George Zimmerman. The Duck Dynasty cretins. Cliven the Terrible.

What’s the matter with them?

They are subject to impulse and rarely invest in research. I knew it wouldn’t be long before they left Cliven to his own devices, once his true character was revealed.

Everything.

They’re afraid of the world as it is.

Mr Paul don’t just retreat from Bundy. Run. Run like he’s got the plague. Keep running. Right out of the country.

They’re idiots–and racists too.

Are the makings of a Dem ad here? Not sure of theme, but you’ve got footage of Nev. Sen. Dean Heller calling the bigoted welfare cowboy a “patriot” even though he does not recognize the government is a patriot of, Hannity acting on an on like an insurrectionist psycho (other Fox loudmouths as well), Paul and Perry playing the knaves…who am I forgetting?

It will be very interesting to hear Hannity’s comments NOW after Bundy came out as a racist. D’ya think Hannity will embrace him or drop him like a hot rock?

You forgot Billo “the Clown” O’Reilly

They’re idiots–and racists too.

You’re repeating yourself.

Listen I need Hannity to embrace him, need this! Dance with the seditionist deadbeat psycho bigot who brought you!

STAY THE COURSE, HANNITY!!

In the interest of further redundancy I can append KKK to the repetitive list.
