There’s nothing wrong with it, but it offends people. Keep doing it, but be quieter about it.
Good grief.
Scumbag.

Rand Paul is not a true anything, least of all a true Libertarian.
“I’m trying to go out and say to African-Americans ‘I want your vote, and the Republican Party wants your vote’ …”
Translation:
You have the RIGHT to vote Republican. If you agree to and do vote Republican, you will be allowed to vote. If you chose to vote Democrat, you will lose your right to vote immediately and permanently.
Actually I think Rand has consistently said, when you boil it down, that he’s OK with voter ID laws but he wants Republicans to be less obvious about it. So he has no real objection, the weaselly little bastard, to the Republican effort to take us back to the days of literacy tests, poll taxes, and grandfather clauses.
Some rules about how we vote. Like keeping the folks who will vote for the Democratic candidate away from the voting booth.
Rand Paul: the crapple didn’t fall far from the tree now, did it?
He’s a chip off the old paultard.
“Voter ID is a rotten terrible idea that presupposes everybody who doesn’t have a driver’s license is either a crook or too lazy to get an 'easily obtainable ID that is actually really hard to get and that you have to pay for.”
from “offensive” to “nothing wrong with it” in, what, 2 days?
He not only looks like a weasel…
he’s a power-hungry little weasel.
he has zero chance of gaining the White House.
Even his sham job as an eye doctor seems to be a front. He’s certified by his own board, of which he appears to be the most important member.
The pathetic, sad nature of such an person is impossible to ignore in the shadow of the trumpeting, chest-thumping ideology he espouses. He’s NOT a self-made, nor important person. He’s a fake doctor and an even faker politician.
I may be missing the larger point here, but we aren’t taxed from birth unless you’re counting being a tax credit for parents while we’re dependents. Also, if we shouldn’t be tracked and numbered from birth, when should we be? Gotta establish citizenship at some point, and it should probably be done right out of the gate.
Hey…
Even the most virtuous politician compromises on their ancillary (not “core”) principles here and there, now and again.
But to apparently have no principles at all? And/or to violate the core principle that one oughtn’t lie?
Ryand should stick to outing Reagan’s pathetic record and extolling Carter’s superior performance compared to St. Ronnie. That he is good at.
For every potential vote that Ryand weasels for, he offends whole segments of voters by weaseling. Gain one to lose many is a very dumb plan and terrible habit to get into.
I think that Ryand would come out ahead just to admit that he has been an awful waffle up until now, then vow to actually think before he speaks and when cornered talk only about freedom and liberty rather than take his normal wobbly stance.
He can not be the establishment, teabagger, libertarian, please all, candidate and still find a way to rise above the Romney trap of flip-flopping on a dime.
On second thought, he’s already done, he may as well try to lie his way in too.
I know, right? Every time he talks about minorities he brings up drugs. He gets traction because he at least acknowledges the racial disparity in prison sentencing but his solution is to decriminalize drugs instead of addressing the root cause of the problem which is the racism built into the justice system. I find it offensive because he just furthers stereotypes that have made the justice system racially biased in the first place.
wasnt flip flopping supose to be a bad thing or is that just for democrats?? cause the repubicons seem to do that alot
The hilarity that is the Republican party continues unabated, as new clowns pop out of the car on a regular basis and the old new clowns keep demonstrating that sense and sensibility have no place in today’s GOP/TeaParty scrum. Little Ayn Rand Paul says something true, gets excoriated by the usual echo-chamber blow-hards and ends up taking it back. Rick Rubio insists climate scientists don’t under climate science, but, somehow, he does. God knows what Maple-Leaf Rafael Cruz will come up with next. Yet their base just keeps tagging along with them on the ride to Crazeetown™.
Backing up the next day…true Presidential material.
THANK YOU for that!
There it bloody well is.
