Discussion for article #240647
Americans donāt want a ābuffoon who insults women and calls them ugly.ā
Among the many, many things we do not want (some of whom were on display last night).
Actually a LOT of people want a buffoon like that. A dominant slice of the GOP primary electorate want exactly that sort of buffoon.
Which is why Trump is going to be the Republican nominee.
I canāt understand why the CW that he is somehow going to explode and melt away still persists, here or elsewhere.
āNobody in America wants some sort of buffoon who insults women, and calls them ugly. Thatās why Iāve signed a loyalty pledge promising to support such a buffoon if he gets the nomination.ā
Thatās right. Nobody wants someone like Trump. And thatās why heās outperforming you thirty to one in the polls, poodlehead.
There has to be more of a juicy, unreported back story involving Donald and Aqua Buddha to go with the antics that have been reportedā¦
The pundits should watch their monitors more often. Will the freakinā Pope have a scrum as large as the one dogging the Donald last night?
āitās almost become pitifulā
Oh, itās waaaaaay beyond almost, Squirrel Hat.
The only real threat to Trump right now is that people get tired of, or start seeing through, his schtick. Otherwise, he can just happily keep pumping out more and more of the same. Itās his real personality, near as anyone can tell, so itās not like thereās any chance of him slipping into saying what he really thinks - a danger all of these pricks have to spend every public moment dodging.
No, women really want a candidate who insults them and says they have no rights over their bodies and screw healthcare access for them instead.
(rolls eyes)
But cornball show biz antics are an infinite commodity Trump can dispense at will. I thought he did extremely well last night and, more importantly, effectively emoted his sufferance of the slings and Jet Li movie volume of arrows to the Republican female viewing audience.
What gets me is how these people denounce Trump vociferously, and yet, they do the same thing to women all the time themselves.
That is precisely Trumpās weakness. He has treated politics (or at least campaigning) as theater. It is entertaining. But the audience will not stay excited with re-runs for another half year. Since an act is all he has, it will fizzle out.
Almost pitiful??? I thought Rand Paul was a straight talker!!! Pitiful is pitiful!!!
Who says there will be re-runs? Repeated talking points are the bread and butter of campaigning in order to nail a thought to the head of a voter but Trump, as news savvy showman, oracle and omphalos, has an ever-changing news cycle to ride like a Jesus on unicyle before the adoring scrum and to grease the voterās head nails.
Now Aqua Buddha is trying the āI showed the guy up for the disgrace that he is,ā route.
Remember the last time that was tried?
Iām curious as to why Trump thought it necessary to attack Paul instead of answering the question asked of him? There was no call to beat up on a guy who is barely hanging on. Does Trump see Randy as a threat?
edit:
Here is DeNiro channeling Trump:
No Rand, your party has been ridiculous for quite some time.
I wonder if the Donald will attempt to hold ābig policy press conferencesā during the Popeās visit to try to steal air time away. Cuz he really hates it when anyone anyone gets more attention than him.
Iām still gobsmacked that Trump is even considered a decent businessman let alone a candidate of the Presidency. The GOP of my youth has folded itās tent, gone home and buried itself and the brand is now a reality show for the abysmally effingly stupid unwashed masses.
I think the Donald (or Ivanka) is seeing that āhumbleā can generate big returnsā¦
