Discussion: Rand Paul Agrees With Trump: Sessions Shouldn’t Have Recused Himself

F*ck… i have to agree with Rand on 2 points.

First, Sessions shouldn’t have recused himself, (he should have resigned, and prosecuted for lying under oath)

Second, seizing assets should only be possible after a conviction.

I believe that Jeff Sessions’ contact with the Russians was incidental.

Along about Oct 2018, Little Randy is going to really regret that the above is in the historical record.

Rand Paul hasn’t been right about almost anything, so why now should we expect him to be ethical. Kentucky is a economically poor state and voters there have a peculiar knack of voting in people who are also intellectually and ethically bankrupt.

The new Republican party identity begins to solidify: Weak on the rule of law; weak on national security.

I absolutely agree – but, of course, that was not Rand’s reasoning.

Don’t worry, the corporate media will explain how both sides are the same.

The only amendment that is still enforced is the 2d, and that is only for white people.

I’m sure his reasoning on asset seizure has more to do with a white collar crime perpetuated by a friend than actual principles.

Sorry, I guess I wasn’t too clear – I was only referring to the recusal part that I quoted…

The asset seizure only after a conviction is something I agree with totally.

Paul and McConnell are why I will never be able to take anything or anyone from Kentucky seriously. If the majority of the citizens believe those two idiots best represent their state’s and the nation’s interests, then they majority of the Kentucky voters shouldn’t.

Derp or anti-derp, does it matter? Rot is rot.

Every Kentucky-related story has this type comment from one of the geniuses in Ohio or New Jersey or any of the other genius-packed states.

I’ve seen you comments in the past and they are always reasoned, i presumed you would agree regarding asset seizure.

My point was our agreements with Rand are almost always from a different angle.

Having an AG whose enforcement policies disproportionally impact minorities is a feature of this administration. Hell, it’s almost a precursor to service in Trump’s administration.

It wasn’t just his lying on his SF-86, it was his involvement in firing Comey over “the Russia thing” you fuckhead.

He’s a Libertarian.
Everything he needs to know can be summarized on half a sheet of paper.
He doesn’t have to think, his ideology gives him the right answer, every time.
And the mind is like the body; stop using and it begins to atrophy.
Paul might have been born with some native intelligence, but that withered away a long time ago.

Kentuckians have a masochistic need to hate the people they elect and thus mostly vote for people they already hate or know they’re going to hate.

They’re kind of like people who are so scared of disappointment, they only date/marry scum and come to enjoy the suffering and dismiss the nice people as “boring.”

The one and only thing Kentuckians will not forgive in a politician is behavior that subjects the state to a particular kind of ridicule from “outsiders,”–like the kind you get when your airplane violates the DC air exclusion zone or you get involved in a particularly crass kind of corruption or when you put a smiley face sunrise on the the license plate with the motto “it’s that friendly.” Because, no gawddammit, it by god ain’t!
