Discussion for article #244647
Maybe the Feds aren’t moving in on these clowns yet because they figure the locals can be counted on to mete out some frontier justice.
Bundy claimed Monday
he had permission from the rancher’s family to destroy the fence, which
would allow their cattle to graze on public land, and said he even
consulted them on where it should go.
I have a good idea where that fence should go.
I’m starting to think that the way this ends is when the local civilians’ annoyance turns into active hostility.
Suddenly that doesn’t look much like martyrdom anymore. More like being tarred feathered and run out of town on a rail.
How refreshing to hear that the local rancher not only repudiated the Bundy freaks, but also repaired the damages. Though I hope they took pictures first.
The Bundys: “Oh…details, details!”
I don’t know. Maybe they are waiting for more folks like the Flat-Earther computer repairman to move in so we have them all in one place.
Tim Puckett, a rancher whose land runs adjacent to the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge, told The Oregonian Wednesday he’s never spoken to Bundy, and his ranch hands have already fixed the fence
Rancher Puckett should send Ammon Ammosexual the bill for his ranch hands’ efforts to repair the fence he destroyed. Is he determined to help ranchers whether they want help or not? Seems like a typical reactionary conservative, demanding everyone accept their solution to a problem that does not exist. The irony is completely lost on the gun-totin’ rabble in cowboy hats.
If you ranch on a flat Earth without fences, isn’t cattle falling off the edge a real concern?
Some fool posted on one of my FB comments on the matter that the locals were trying to intimidate them with their townhalls. Something about how BLM employees live in the town. So much for them listening to the people of the town.
There’s going to be a townhall meeting tomorrow, and I fully expect these clowns to ignore the local residents.
Bundy is sort of a low-rent John Wilkes Booth. Booth was genuinely surprised that after assassinating Lincoln, he wasn’t hailed as a hero. John Brown similarly misread the climate of his times. Ditto for the neo-cons as they sent “liberators” into Iraq.
Yeah, I’ve wondered whether the Feds were using this as a honey trap.
OK. The FBI needs to get off their lazy and corrupt butts and arrest or kill these people!
Photos of the destroyed fence have already been published.
There is going to be a schadenfreude containment situation when these guys loose their guns, their pickup trucks, their bank accounts, their homes, and their freedom at the end of all this.
One of the great lines in Matewan: “Mister, I think I’ve had about all the help I can stand.”
God I hope you are right. Otherwise the feds have lost control of the country and no longer will protect private and public property from domestic terrorists. I believe that these bundys are related, most likely inbred with James Comey’s kids, wives and all of his relations (Comey is head of FBI). Same for Homeland Security - or rather Homeland Insecurity. All these White Supremacists in the FBI and HS are just boosting each other here with Bundy’s et. al. help. With no effective law enforcement at the federal level, it’s really every man for himself, not a joke. And here I am with no gun! Not even a mean dog.
Gosh, you mean they lied?? I am just shocked, shocked I tell you.
Well, I don’t know how he really feels but no doubt he does not want to be prosecuted for destroying public property. Repairing the fence seems like a really prudent step, besides which, he really might not want his cattle to wander off. I am beginning to understand that the guys holed up in this outpost are not really ranchers but a bunch of poseurs.
Well, ain’t this a revoltin’ development.
For the Bundy Gang.
I’m loving this. It’s entertaining to watch these guys shooting off their mouths and then, their feet.
Fabulous.
