Discussion: Ramirez's Lawyer Said She Is Willing To Testify, Possibly Without FBI Probe

The pressure is on Chuck, how do you want history to remember you? And what happens when Stormy’s lawyer makes his client public (its time to let that cat out of the bag).

It is easy for Trump to say there is no corroboration when Republicans don’t allow any corroborating evidence to be heard. My question is why don’t the reporters point out that there are multiple accusers and for Ramirez at least there is a lot of corroboration. Apparently the story spread all over the dorm the night of the party.

If only he thought that these “ladies” were a threat to his “legacy.” The impunity of white men: that is the GOP.

OK I will suspend my hatred of those stupid window pane patterned suits if Clune can get Ramirez’s testimony on the record.

Just like there is no proof that America has a gun violence problem, because the government made it illegal to fund the collection of gun violence statistics, or that there is no proof that Wall Street crimes caused the Republican’t Great Recession, because the government chose not to pursue criminal investigations. The Republican’t Party is truly the Party of Murder, Theft and Rape…

Avenatti has lowered the boom. Identified his client, who alleges gang rapes (induced by spiked drinks) in high school in which Judge and Kavanaugh participated. Nice guys.

“I wouldn’t call [the FBI probe] a condition, but it’s the only intelligent way to get to the truth of what happened,” he said.

There’s your problem. Can’t fix it, though.

Palmer Report linked to this USA Today Article last night. There is some interesting detail there, former State Dept and US Mint official with multiple security clearances. According to Avenatti, yesterday.

They ought to have her in the hearing room tomorrow, so that Pat Leahy or one of the Democrats could declare, on national TV and live web coverage, that she is present and ready to testify.

And I’m hoping against hope that Anita Hill will be there, too, although I doubt very much that that class act wants to put herself in the middle of it all again.

Avenatti delivers big time. I think we’re close to game over. Clearly, Kavanaugh will come into that hearing badly damaged if he still tries to push it.

There is a somnolent response to the Avenatti news, including here at TPM. This should be the final “bombshell”, but the concussion has been strangely muted so far.

Yes indeed. And I’d say there’s no doubt that Julie Swetnick will testify.

That is related to his relentless self-promotion.
That said, Avenatti has a history of delivering the goods he talks about.

I’d pat the devil on the back if he did what Avenatti just did.

was just coming here to post the link.

given what we’ve learned so far, I’m not surprised and I’m betting Judge/Kav just viewed this as typical boy behavior.
