Discussion: Rahm Emanuel Signs Onto 'Ready For Hillary'

Discussion for article #222584

Poor Joe Biden. Always the bridegroom, never the bride. I can’t remember any sitting vice president treated this way by either party.

That’s yet another good reason to be less than enthusiastic about Hillary for President.

Is there a word that’s like “Yay,” except less?

I’m going to need that word in a couple of years.

“Huzzah-Huzzah”. Guess that’s two words; better save one for later.

Pfft.

I hope Bernie sanders or Elizabeth warren run so the country can have real debates on issues and not this bullcrap - gays, guns, god and equal pay for white women

He was DCCC Chairperson from 2004-2006. Tim Kaine endorsed her a week or 2 ago and he was DNC Chairperson from 2009-2011. Coupla heavyweight fundraisers.

HRC is from Chicago. Nothing wrong in giving an endorsement to a hometown girl.

Only really avid political watchers like the gang here know who Sanders and Warren are. HRC is brilliant, her academic and political accomplishments are unparalleled and could have been president but the for the brilliance of another guy.

We desperately need a populist like Warren or Sanders to run as well. It would be an utter betrayal if another corporate Democrat (formerly known as “Republicans”) is simply ushered into the Democratic nomination. If the left sits by and accepts Clinton without a fight, this more than anything else that has happened in the past 14 years will have solidified our government’s move to the right.

Is there anyone beyond the beltway who thinks that an endorsement from Emmanuel is a good thing? Seriously, the dude’s been screwing Democrats since NAFTA. Is this the best we can do? At a time when there is a growing mistrust of Corporations and their influence on our politics are we really going to be saddled with another Corporatist candidate?
