Discussion for article #231415
If the media is going to refer to these folks as “radical” environmentalists other than environmentalists then folks such as O’Rilley (et al) should be called “radical” commentators, websites like wORLD nET dAILY should be called “radical” right-wing propaganda sites and others such as Limbaugh (et al) should be referred to as “radical” am raido hosts. Equivalency right?!
As usual, everything one needs to know about these fools is encapsulated in an episode of South Park.
Your submission to corporate brainwashing is noted…
You seem very angry.
One can be sympathetic to the Sea Shepherds’ goal of ending commercial whaling, which I am, and still be turned off by their narcissistic show-boating, and their dangerous stunts for teevee that put both themselves and others at serious risk. They’re more akin to PETA or the ELF – any good they might do is significantly overshadowed by them shouting, “look at me! Look at me!” They’re clowns who bring discredit to their goals.
Exactly. It would be like being opposed to logging old-growth forests, and trying gin up support for that position by running logging trucks off the road, or cutting their brake lines. Noble goal, reprehensible tactics.
Except that they are the only ones who have been successful bringing this issue to the masses. Your assertion that they are doing more harm than good is just that - an unjustified assertion.
That’s precisely the justification used by people who murder doctors who perform abortions.
Sorry, but your position is appalling.
