I had posted earlier that one of the ironies of racism and its proliferation is the embrace of the racist by more Asians, Latinos and African Americans than would seem to be warranted, many of whom happen to be stuck in Red States. A good friend of mine from South Carolina has adjusted to the FOX proliferation of “information” in his state by concocting some apologies for behaviour which, in 1980, would have been unacceptable

I would not call it “Stockholm Syndrome”.

I would rather call it “going with the winner”, which, curiously, is similar to the mentality of the impoverished trailer-park FOX viewer identifying completely with people like Trump, Romney and Koch.

Chin is reacting correctly.

People are taught how to behave by what one accepts.

I just looked at my calendar, and I could swear it says it’s 2015, not 1975. Dunne must be about 70 years old, because I guarantee that only a tiny and visibly aging sliver of Lewiston’s general population has the slightest fucking clue what or who “Ho Chi Chin” is referring to in the first place.
