I would think even if you killed in self-defense (which is not what occurred here), you’d feel a great deal of remorse, regret, and sorrow. You’d play the scene over and over again in your head wondering if you could have done anything different. Probably even have nightmares.
It doesn’t appear Zimmerman is the least bit troubled. His response(s) to Martin’s slaying has been disgusting and shows a lack of value for human life.
Does that site have auto-bid capability? It would be amusing if multiple accounts kept bidding against themselves up to a huge amount and didn’t let anyone else in edgewise.
Actually respectful approach to guns, understanding that they were not toys was and probably still is pretty common, I grew up in a such household. We had a revolver, a bolt action hunting rifle and a few shotguns; my Grandpa’s shotgun even had an insert in the tubular magazine to restrict the number of shells it could carry. There was a time in MN when to legally hunt ducks your shotgun could only load a maximum of three shells, you know sportsmanship, give the ducks some chance.
What drove me to the complete disarmament side, is increasingly lunatic attitude towards firearms form a significant section of the population and the pandering to them from politicians. For them not only should people be allowed to own 17-round handguns loaded with hollow point bullets, AR-15 look alikes with 100 round drum magazines, and 12-round short barreled shotguns, they should be allowed to take it anywhere. Sorry if we are so far that road then lets quit them altogether. Like alcoholics, if you can’t control your driking, then the right approach is to not drink at all.
And what passes for hunting now, shooting deer with an AK in enclosed environments? My father was so disappointing, he got invited to a pheasant hunt, and they just took to a clearing and then released the agreed number of birds for them to shoot, there’s no sportsmanship in that. Hunting used to be walking through the country side for hours and frequently you got zip.
This ought to cement the new meme (is that what it is?) of using [BLANK] Mc[BLANK]face to describe somebody you don’t like.
I’m trying to think up a good one for Trump, but I haven’t got the time. Maybe “Pasty” Mcsomething, or “Pudgy McFingerface” or something. Or something else.
Yeah, there’s a reason shotguns have those - AFAIK, it’s required by Federal law. Most people remove them, as they restrict your ability to mow down people on a wholesale basis.
I know one could probably be sued for slander by saying he murdered Treyvon, but I think it would be safe to say “the gun used to kill an unarmed child” instead. There’s an underlying cowardice there that I think should be pointed out every time they mention this miserable filth’s name.
The first clue that he’s a total sociopath was ignoring the police order not to approach Martin during the 911 call. I’d love to know what a jury of 12 people heard that convinced them that ignoring that order was legitimate.
