Ryan’s family nonsense is simply for the rubes. Congressmen must spend their time fund raising, which leaves hardly any time for anything else. He’s full of it.
Both sides are angling for leverage, but seriously, who is a plausible alternative to Ryan? It’s not like they have a deep bench.
That’s rich . Really Rich . Half batshit crazy pointing the finger at batshit sociopaths.
Oh Peter! pot meet kettle.

Hard to believe they give a monkey’s toss what that the anti-Teahad New Yorker has to say.
some conservatives were rubbed the wrong by some of those demands, as well as the demand-making itself.
Nothing more infuriating than listening to a bunch of power hungry extremists constantly making demands and taking hostages, having the nerve to complain about Ryan’s demands. They would not be in this position if these extremists werent so nutty to begin with. Maybe they are the ones who should stop demanding and start governing.
The feeling is going bipartisan would result in him getting a Tea-crazy primary opponent. Whether or not Ryan would beat out the tea-crazy opponent remains to be seen, but why risk it if you like your job. Maybe Ryan really wants to run for higher office - Senate or even President, then being bipartisan would be a plus. Who knows, just don’t bet on Ryan going bipartisan.
“…otherwise the speaker race could be pushed into chaos.”
And where the Hell has it been so far? Albuquerque?
And they hold these thoughts while at the same time demonizing unions on the grounds that people can do their own barganing on a case by case basis.
"Most folks have never been used to someone applying for a job and telling you, 'I don’t do windows, I don’t do beds," Salmon said
Whereas the TeaPubs sat in the House and did nothing constructive.
Great recommendation! /s
Said by a person who has obviously never hired someone.
Eric Cantor’s not doing anything …and he’s adept at piercing backs.
Throw his name in the mix …
roil the TeaPottyeven more…
Uh oh Paul! Another ‘Paul’ …Pauley Tea Bagger has a message from the Tea Party for you:

So…Mr Ryan have a big cup o’ tea and ponder your Speakership. rotflmao
After being begged by many members to jump in the race, Ryan laid out
his conditions Tuesday – a unified party, weekends with his family, and
the nixing of procedural maneuvers hardliners often used to threaten
coups against the speaker.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAhahahahahahahahahahaaaaaa(cough…ack!!) !!!111231!!!one!!!speaker???
With conditions???
Heh heh… (snicker)
Poor poor Albuquerque!
Garamendi forPragmatic-Coalition Speaker.
Rinse and Repeat.
Exactly. Ryan has a job he already likes, and that gives him the advantage. He’s in a position to say “make me an offer I can’t refuse, and I’ll think about it.”
It’s also telling that Rep. Salmon used the analogy of hiring “the help”
“Most folks have never been used to someone applying for a job and telling you, 'I don’t do windows, I don’t do beds”
…as though that’s how he and his Freedom Caucus(R) were planning to treat an incoming Speaker?
So…trump is mainstream. I love how politicians group their camp as America and nobody else. I hope they vote him down and are left in utter chaos. Were it not for the countries business failing during the meanwhile it would be more hysterical to observe.
aS HAS BEEN MENTIONED previosly, (channeling eUSTacE for a second) Irony never met a Republican. Period.
My guess is that Paul Ryan’s scheme to force the Freedom Caucus to reject him will work. The TeaPublicans crave chaos, and this is their big chance!
Reading the NR and Breitbart comments sections, this is already done and dusted: either the tea bags won’t accept him or things will go South overnight if he becomes speaker.
This is either Ryan is smart enough to give the tea baggers some rope and appear the sane one, or dumb enough to think he can make this work.
