Putin bears all responsibility for this.

Wow - surprised he didn’t blame the passengers for being on the plane.

If it turns out it was the Russian separatists in Ukraine, as various social media posts at least imply might be the case, then Vladi just bought himself a very, very expensive Crimean peninsula. Worldwide castigation.

It’s not my fault. Your attempt to protect your sovereign land provoked me.

So the rape victim is to blame by Putin logic.

Putin’s cynical logic -" if Ukraine had just given in to everything that I wanted, then I would not have been compelled to unleash my terrorists covert operations to commit heinous atrocities - so, there fore it is all Ukraine’s fault."

YES - and is to blame for resisting & getting Putin’s shirt wrinkled… so is deserving of punishment.

Shorter Putin: Stop Hitting Yourself…Stop Hitting Yourself…Stop Hitting Yourself…Stop Hitting Yourself…

Putin? Bear? I get it!

All in due time.

Putin’s got it all wrong. As any Right-thinking American knows, this is all Obama’s fault.

Putin likes to be seen as a macho man. Put your big boy pants on and be responsible for the havoc you have created in Eastern Ukraine. Stupid idiot.

I don’t think this is Putin trying to dodge international heat. I think if this were Russian military, he would know. And, just a guess, I think he knows it wasn’t Russian military.

This sounds like he’s forcing the issue of the Ukrainian Constitution, which he wants to see rewritten to hamper centralized federal authority, which is a big part of why there are Russian fetishists on the ground with anti-aircraft weapons.

Did you see the way that plane was dressed? It was asking for it.

Sometimes it’s enough to make you wish for the days when at least a committee was in charge of all the weapons in that part of the world.

That denial sounds weak.

I think that Putin may well be experiencing the unintended consequences of his support for the separatist movement, which as is often the case in such situations, has taken on a life of its own because of the inherent volatility of the personalities involved and the tenuous control Putin has over the whole enterprise that he initially attempted to exploit for his own reasons.

Need to change the country name to Scumbagistan.

If it turns out it was the Russian separatists in Ukraine as some report then I would think supplying them with a Buk launcher and crew who know how to operate it might shift the burden of responsibility back to Mr. Putin.
