Discussion: Putin Says Tillerson Has 'Fallen In With The Wrong Company' Since 2013 Award

Tillerson does bear a striking resemblance to Brezhnev.

That was my first reaction, too.

Who knew Vlad the Inserter was a comedian?

No argument there either. I know myself to have a bias toward discounting the idea that suburban daddies and Edge City or rural bros with AR-15s will rise up and take territory. But there could be random, as you say stochastic, incidents that could be very ugly. One bomb, one $300 Chinese SKS and you can lose a lot of lives. Thatā€™s a serious worry. And the extent to which the Trump administration is taking its eye off the militia ball is another. A new, better-armed version of the 1920s Klan could emerge. It would be not good.

OT-Anything more from Rick Wilson? I want my Newsbomb! Friday afternoon is just around the corner!

Neutralizing America isnā€™t a tough task. Convincing 2/3 of the populace up is down via propaganda presented as fact is easy enough done. Putin will have his act fine tuned soon enough Russian trolls under his direction can essentially dictate the outcome of future Presidential elections. At that point he can move on to House and Senate races. Sinclair, Facebook and a few others can be enlisted as unwitting accomplices. Bing, bang, done.

Or as my mom would have said, ā€œEā€™s a nogood boyo ā€˜anging around makinā€™ mischief with 'is cronies. Mark my words, 'eā€™ll come to a bad end, that one, will.ā€

Conversely, it might be a natural evolutionary step in our nationā€™s trajectory. You get the representation you deserve. And we deserve Trump.

He parked an article at The Daily Beast.

Heā€™s also predicting Cohn will be leaving.

Other than that, not much. But the week isnā€™t over yet. He always gives the heads up on his twitter feed.

Thanks.
Iā€™ll take a piece of that Cohn action, unless the tenthers can find somebody exactly like Cohn to replace him.ā€
Off to look at the Beastā€¦

We didnā€™t not-deserve him enough to not-elect him, at any rate.

Please, PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE, knock on wood. NOW! I fear you may have caused the butterfly in Mongolia to flutter by, thus leading to WWIII.

I knocked. But I think itā€™s likelier a case of long-term and hard-to-recover-from national decline.

Iā€™m afraid long-term decline is already set in place.

Thank you, and i also fear that you are right.

Remember the days when Calgon would take you way?

Youā€™re getting warmer.

If you grab a butter knife and jam it into a wall electrical outlet you ā€œdeserveā€ to get shocked. You had the goddamn choice to leave the butter knife in the drawer. A nation must assume and accept responsibility for its collective actions. We most certainly deserve Trump.

What if your friend sticks the knife in the socket, and it blows the panel and the propane tank and you? Still culpable?

I didnā€™t stick a butter knife into any electrical socket, and most certainly, neither did any Dreamers. Do they deserve T rump?

I get your logic, and to an extent, i even agree with it. Where i differ in this instance is that T rump is not purely a self-inflicted wound. He had Russian help to injure us to the extent he has. Now we must cut off that limb to avoid gangrene.
