Russia has nearly 200 nationalities. Over 10 million Russian citizens have either Ukrainian or Tatar ethnicity. If Putin starts a program of ethnic nationalism, I suspect it will lead to the break up of Russia. Already plenty of Siberians refer to themselves as Siberians, not Russians.
It’s incredibly stupid to even hint at such strife. All the post-Soviet states that have become basket cases have had significant ethnic strife. As the economy tanks due to massive corruption, ethnic strife tends to rise.
As for the theory that Russians of Ukrainian, Tatar or Jewish heritage meddled in the elections, that’s just risible.
