Discussion: Publisher To Correct Error In Rand Paul's Book On Number Of Deaths In Benghazi

Discussion for article #236790

Poor Randy. I guess he’ll just never learn to check the things he copies from somewhere else for accuracy.

When she said ‘What difference, at this point, does it make?’ she was referring to motive. Does Rand want to charge the perpetrators with a hate crime?

He and his Republican cronies should answer as to why they refused to allocate funds for security. American people would like to know that.

The real question is who did he copy that from and what else in this book is from someone else’s work? RANDY doesn’t have the principles we need to expect from elected officials.

I have said this before and will say it again: Democrats need a political operative who takes no prisoners. They are so damn passive when it comes to crap like this. Rand and the rest of the GOP need to be called on their crap. Hit back hard.

It kind of undermines his argument that these Americans were somehow more important to him when he can’t even get the number of them that died correct.

They were all white males. So by teabagger math that works out to 6 regular people equivalent.

I cannot tell a lie…Obama chopped down that cherry tree.

“Win a few, lose a few.” - Rand Paul

And why they sat on their hands when over 50 diplomats were killed during Shrub’s regime.

Doesn’t surprise me that a person who would intentionally (or stupidly) and cowardly take quotes out of context also got the number of dead people wrong.

Rand can’t count to four? Can’t wait to see his budget proposals, where really large numbers are used.

The whole book was a Hatchette job. Ha.

Oh, those pesky facts!

I don’t know why you progressive haters can’t acknowledge the tragedy of 26 deaths in Benghazi. The death toll is more than . . .

Huh? What’s that?

Well, that hardly matters. When 16 God-fearing Americans are left to die in a . . .

What? Not 16?

Okay, come on, let’s stop pussyfooting around here. It doesn’t matter if it’s 16 or 6. Each one of those fine . . .

What NOW, goddamnit? Can you let me get one full sentence out before–

Four? That’s it? So what’s with all the screaming and endless Congressional committees? For god’s sake, 241 American servicemen died in Lebanon when Reagan was–

Oops. Was that mic on?

Here, hear!

There is just something special about an error in an article about an error. I have a friend who works for Hachette and we always have a laugh at those who make this oh so common error.

Hatchette Book Group, which published Paul’s book…

What an appropriately name publisher.
