Oh yeah, threaten them with lawsuits. THAT will make sure NOBODY wants to read it. Hah.

Pretty sure the same thing happened in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix…

“Due to unprecedented demand, we are moving the on-sale date for all formats of ‘Fire and Fury,’ by Michael Wolff, to Friday, January 5, at 9 a.m. ET, from the current on-sale date of Tuesday, January 9,” a spokesperson for Henry Holt & Company told TPM.

Cha-ching. This is great. Of course, Trump will now demand a fee for his great, terrific successful marketing campaign strategy to increase demand and sales of the book.

What I find most self-satisfyingly hilarious about the whole kerfuffle (goddamn, I love that word!) over this book is that Donald Trump hasn’t done a damned thing during his term as president or any time before in his life to make anyone believe that the stories contained in the book are not true. He’s an incompetent Fucking Moron, who only got to where he is in this world due to inherited money and double-dealings and shady real estate deals and screwing over workers by bankrupting corporations and special privileges afforded him by the government because he is rich in the first place.
The only people who are going to say that the events portrayed are not true are lobotomized psychotic mental patients - you know, Trump voters.

@Popehat
Theory: Trump is getting a cut of the profits from this book the sales of which he is massively boosting.

Kinda… kinda hard to disagree, right?

Hopefully Mueller is standing in the shadows with binders full and ready to go when this starts to settle down, if it does.

Could turn into an even smarter move, if the accelerated timeline provokes a certain malignant narcissist with deteriorating mental/emotional stability into some spectacularly misguided move. And we’ve all been witnessing, in real time, how well he responds to pressure.

Hey, Donald! Patti LaBelle wants to know if you could send a “cease and desist” letter against her sweet potato pie. She deserves the extra money.

First good news in the first week of 2018. Will order if immediately.

Let’s just hope and pray that his misguided response doesn’t involve his BIGLYEST button.

Note to self: Buy electronic version of book Fire and Fury tomorrow morning.

As long as the publisher laughs at the unenforceable legal threats from Trump’s team of “lawyers”, one can only hope that Michael Wolff will put a cherry on top of this schadenfreude sundae by releasing the audio tapes of the interviews in the book. That, I believe, will drive the orange fat-ass out of his cottage cheese mind.

It’s Been an Open Secret All Along
The scandal of Michael Wolff’s new book isn’t its salacious details—it’s that everyone in Washington has known its key themes, and refused to act.

That worked out beautifully, didn’t it, Donald?
