And Republicans trying to dismantle the ACA were sayingâŚwhat?
Interesting poll numbers â the ACA only grows more popular as all of the GOPâs falsehoods about it have been revealed as lies. No wonder Glenn Greenwald and his internet troll army have been so desperately pushing his âDemocrats in disarray on healthcareâ nonsense yet again lately. I mean, for someone who claims to care so deeply about threats to Democracy, itâs not like thereâs anything happening in the U.S. on that topic to write about, is there? So it sure makes sense at this time to be trying to foster Democratic disunity on healthcare by pushing falsehoods about the âDemocrat establishmentâ instead, huh? I mean, itâs not as if that serves the Putin/GOP interests or anything, does it? No, sir. Not a puppet! Youâre the puppet!
Took a while butâŚ
The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice.
(Thanks Obama).
Where did Donnie come in on the rating of worst President ever?
Could someone PLEASE remind him?
RepeatedlyâŚ
Obviously, Obamaâs faultâŚ
The approval will get higher after it is destroyed. We just cannot appreciate things untill we donât have them anymore.
Imagine how poorly Medicaid limits will poll when people learn just how expensive elder care is.
Yep. The fact that 47% of Republicans are already not in favor of lifetime limits to Medicaid benefits should be a strong reminder to their leaders that there seems to be a sizable contingent of GOP voters who benefit directly from the program or know someone who does. For independents, that number is 64%. Tread lightly, Paul Ryan.
Just sitting here remembering the days after the ACA became law and Democrats refused to argue on its behalf during election yearsâand remembering Obama telling them in the early days of the ACA debates that âgood policy is good politics.â
Just as @brooklyndweller says above, the arc is taking its own sweet time, but it is indeed bending toward justice.
I say: Go ahead and stomp on that land mine a little harder, Paul Ryan.
A new tracking poll from the Kaiser Family Foundation finds the highest ever public approval rating for the Affordable Care Act since the organization began asking the question in 2010.
I think Iâm going to allow myself a chuckle or two.
Actually, I think your advice to Paul is better (for us in the long run) than mine. Go for it, Ryan!
âYou donât know what youâve got âtill itâs gone.â
Thanks Joanie.
I just love Joni Mitchell
Donât know what youâve got

Congratulations America! Youâre pulling your heads out of your ass just in time to watch your healthcare sail over the horizon.
Iâm pretty sure that Obamaâs popularity is all Obamaâs fault.
Reality time: 30 Million Americanâs have opt-ed out of ACA. Rates have quadrupled leaving many uninsured. Short-term insurance will probably help 4 million. Hopefully this current round of attack will kill this disaster.
You can practically hear McConnell and Ryan sweating bullets
So, if itâs a âdisasterâ, why do so many people approve of it? Why were Republicans- even with total control and will do to so- unable to fully repeal it (root and branch)?
Ryan is counting the days before he can walk away from the mess he helped create. McConnell is still scheming to destroy everything Obama did for the people of our country. They are both going in the history books as weak partisan hacks who sold their country out and I think they know it.
The GOP alternative was nothing. Under GWB the premiums on my single parent and child policies doubled every year. The Republican alternative to this disaster has been to fail to come up with a solution. Hopefully, this round of GOP sabotage will bring us closer to Single Payer, and cut out the health insurance cartels to whom your political party is beholdenâŚright after their masters at the NRA.
