Discussion: Pryor Stumbles Over Ebola Response: I Don't 'Know All The Details' (VIDEO)

Discussion for article #228526

“See the latest numbers”? Is this idiot waiting to see how death
“polls before commenting”? Or is he going to wait to find out how
much is being spent and then attack the president for violating the
sequester that cut CDC and other emergency preparedness
budgets?

Did Pryor switch parties?

Pryor also doesn’t want to laud the ACA.

This media-generated idea that everyone in the public space must be instantly aware and have a position on the very latest tick of the cycle isn’t just absurd it has opened the path to the unchallenged, empty-headed BS from the clown car that dominates daily, lazy media.

I don’t think it was that bad. It was somewhat thoughtful if uninformed. The interviewer was looking for a soundbite and he didn’t give her one.

Where’s the stumble? Is it because he takes a few seconds to think before he speaks? As far as referencing “numbers,” he’s clearly talking about the assistance the U.S. is providing to West Africa and whether or not it’s adequate.

Could we get him into the right state and the right party?

The “numbers” he’s talking about refers to the level of assistance the U.S. is providing to West Africa and whether or not it’s adequate. He says it in response to the reporter’s follow up question on exactly that topic – supplying medical support to West Africa.

Possibly we should consider the comedy-stealing corporate source in this case?

A lot of people have next to no knowledge of Ebola or West Africa and which countries are located there.

don’t really pay much attention to him; but he’s always struck me as weak and not particularly engaged in issues. thank gawd for daddy’s connections…

I don’t see a problem with his answer. He said he hasn’t seen any new briefings on what was being done. Why is that a stumble???

And there it is.

And even if an individual “reporter” decides to stop the bullshit, he or she knows that there are hundreds of empty-headed camera-hounds (who equate this with “journalism”) who would sell their grandmother for a chance to be seen and heard.

Such is what the Fourth Estate has descended to.

Earlier this year, when Mr. Obama was at a White House Press Conference commenting on the rollout of the ACA, there was a dearth of questions dealing with the potential for the legislation doing any good and a tsunami of accusations about the so-called “you can keep it” comment the President made.

There was one fat toad of a questioner in particular for whom the “you can keep it” situation trumped the saving of thousands of lives.

Because Pryor was not wearing a tri-corner hat.

We live in a time when we should have no problem whatsoever outperforming Republicans, we should be having no problem demonstrating the incompetence and destructiveness of Republican legislators at the local, state and national level. But instead we have to suffer with useless people like Pryor who doesn’t even have enough courage of his own convictions to make one simple statement in a decisive manner.

Perhaps one needs a lobbyist-paid-for-prawn stuffed in one’s mouth to fully appreciate modern journamalism like Mrs. Gravytrain, er Greenspan.

Another in a long line of DINO’s running in a deeply DERP state.

While I want the Democrats to hold the Senate of course, I wouldn’t mind if they retained it while both Pryor and Landrieu lost their seats. Whenever there’s some progressive legislation, the Dems always have to water it down to placate those two DINOs. Good riddance to both of them I say.

Given how the talking heads over at Fox are getting worked into a tizzy over having Ebola in the United States, I can only imagine how they’re going to react when they find out that we also have Rabies here, and it’s every bit as deadly!!!
