He’s afraid Trump is bugging him. And no wonder. After all, der Furor is bugging the rest of us.

“Administrator Pruitt has received an unprecedented amount of threats against him and security decisions are made by EPA’s Protective Service Detail,” Wilcox said in a statement to TPM. “A similar security sweep was done for EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson.”

It seems Wilcox is saying the people threatening Pruitt's safety are also the same people that would be in a position to plant listening devices. No?

Conclusion to be drawn: Pruitt has something to hide.

Pruitt, through his own agency, has created a hostile environment, from which he needs protection.

Pruitt was hired to assassinate the EPA and its programs.

Many of the administrative positions Trump filled were simply Trump loyalists and typically lacking substantive executive experience (AKA grossly unqualified) but some were clearly filled with a purpose and had the executive experience necessary to reach goals rather than merely ruin through incompetence; Pruitt was one of those.

What he has to hide are the agreements and maneuvers with industry, ALEC, et al necessary to accomplish his task plus, of course, feather his own nest; he is a Trump appointee after all so malevolence is invariably accompanied by venality.

I’m not sure being a totally paranoid ahole is conducive to serving our government…but what do I know.

Ok, $25K for sound proof booth, $3k for surveillance sweep, God knows how much $$ for the 18 person security detail…all on the tax payer dime, no less.

Jeesh, paranoid much!?!

This is the behavior of a man with something to hide.

“Maoists from Uranus”, aka the “Deep State”, you know, career civil servants who have the continuity of knowledge to know what actually works and what doesn’t.

Bingo.

The Defense Department sets fire to more money in an hour, every hour of every day, than Pruitt will ever burn through. I have a difficult time focusing on Executive Branch waste when we’re blowing hundreds of billions on air-to-air combat planes needed to defeat the non-existent air forces of adversaries we’ll never encounter.

Solid point, and I agree completely!

Yes, this sure seems like the actions of a guilty person. I wonder what might need to hide from who? Mueller maybe? Could it be some unsavory dealings with major polluters he is worried could get snagged by the Russia investigation?
