SCIF guidelines are exceedingly strict. In fact there is a commissioning process which requires the sign-off by a competent and qualified dedicated SCIF project manager, whose sole job it is to certify these areas meet federal standards.

One of the biggest challenges found with SCIF’s is where Security meets Safety as far as the usual codes relating to Means of Egress and similar issues.

SCIF construction takes place overseas as much as it does inside the CONUS.

Edit: If I was unclear, my point is Pruitt is full of shit. Every competent governmental SSEM manager is aware of these requirements.

Pruitt also somehow didn’t know much about the huge pay increases his buddies he brought along from Oklahoma got which were done by using a rule designed for different circumstances. I think he’s sort of admitting to knowing a little more than the zero he claimed previously, but like everything else he’s said (or in this hearing not said) it doesn’t pass the sniff test.

By the way, who’s the fat guy sitting behind Pruitt in the hearing chewing gum? Or his cud or something.
