The protesters need to realize that only some voices count as far as the GOP is concerned. They are mostly the voices of people named Koch and Mercier. The rest of us need to sit down and shut up.
How long before the Yam calls Grandma a SOB?
Good.
I’m glad the resistance is fresh.
For a split second, I thought / hoped that it was the GOP Senator’s being arrested for crimes against humanity…
But no such luck, they’re just arresting humanity…
I would listen to the disability advocate from Kansas; that state is a true cautionary tale on bad policy decision-making. I would not trust Sam Brownback with a block grant, and I’m sure this person wouldn’t either.
It’s not a problem, but now we’ll be treated to pearl-clutching GOPers who will somehow twist this into “we woulda repealed and retreatedreplaced but for these handicapped thugs. In the old days we knew how to handle them!Unfair!”
Either way they lose.
A group of activists in wheelchairs with the disability rights group ADAPT, broke out into loud chants of, “No cuts to Medicaid, save our liberty,” bringing the proceedings to a grinding halt.
So Republicans only love obstruction when they’re the ones doing the obstructing?
Karma’s a bummer, fellas…
De Plorabus Ubum.
I’m reminded of the recent Dionne-Orenstein column regarding these ACA outrages, and the 45 era generally, driving a renaissance of civic engagement and protest. This is living and urgent proof of their claim. Keep it up!
Lots of clips in Matt Fuller’s Twitter feed. Gut-churning.

They should be doing these protests on their own time.
Good for them. It does the heart good to see the resistance being heard. The GOP is down to 29% approval in the latest CNN polls. Suck it, Republicans.

Doesn’t work. You can search Dionne Ornstein washington post and get it.
The protesters look like a bigger crowd than the pee-Resident’s inauguration.
I hate to say this but I swear to god the GOP is just begging to be overthrown by a rebellion of the majority.
Those pictures are sickening - this is not the country I want to live in. And I believe most Americans feel the same way. They sure are pushing us.
That escalated quickly
The Republicans should have played the National Anthem before the hearing so Trump could hate-tweet those in wheel chairs who refused to stand up.Those crippled sons of bitches.
Nothing more American, more patriotic than a peaceful protest. Scenes like that make me proud to be an American. They did good.
I agree they did good and they make me proud, too. It’s the GOP response that is so shameful.
