Discussion: Protesters Tell Biden To 'Get Out' Of Turkey

Discussion for article #230465

I hope there is more in depth analysis on this because I can’t tell if this is Communist, Islamist, or Methodist in nature. Turkey is a mystery, I’m glad they are not a full member of the EU. All I can say is do something about Cyprus, unite the country and if Turkey resists arm the Cypriots to the gills.

The group doing the protesting is a right-wing youth group associated with extremist nationalists.

He had to skip the wreath laying and get out of range in Kiev too. Well done. Foreign policy working swimmingly.

Joe certainly stepped in it this time…his mouth, that is. Which, although I like the Veep, is just an occupational hazard of being Joe Biden. However, the YAT group is taking advantage of Joe’s faux-pas for their own purposes.

Turkey seems more and more hostile to western democratic ideals. They’re trending toward one of those countries like Egypt, where we’d rather have them for friends than enemies, but we have to hold our noses when dealing with them. I’m not sure it’s relevant to this specific article, but I’m about sick of them doing absolutely nothing for their NATO and other allies in the fight against ISIS, then going out and proclaiming “we’re not afraid of ISIS because NATO will protect us.”

It is not that simple. The division of Cyprus started with a Greek-led coup, trying to install a junta style military government - which in turn led to Turkey’s invasion.

I won’t defend Turkey’s policy on Cyprus, but the last unity plan was accepted by the Turks on Cyprus and rejected by the Greeks. So, “good” and “bad” are a bit more complicated than it might seem at first glance.

Hopefully next time Biden will be laundered in red paint with his black hoodie on. Can’t think of many who deserve humiliation more, or … wait, yes I can … but the list is too long. I’ll just accept for now Biden being doused with red paint, or piss, even better.

Well you really can’t blame people in other countries from coming up with conspiracy theories about the US.

Are we doing something underhanded to undermine some faction in whatever country or not? Flip a coin.

Sounds like America isn’t the only country that’s littered with idiot Teabagger types.
