Good job N.C. citizens. Protesters need to be seen in big numbers and heard loudly in D.C. on January 20. A half million or more would be good. And then get organized in 50 states, work on messaging a progressive agenda, wake up and shake up the media, get us back to a fact-based existence, and never let up the fight.

They need to get the majority in the LEGISLATURE so they can redraw the gerrymandered districts. Only THEN is there fair representation. In the MEANTIME they need to get major players to boycott the state.

    Personally, I think the protest step is optional at this point.

This shit started on a large scale with Scott Walker’s attacks on public employees right to organize a few years ago. When the people turned out to protest Walker sent the goon squad after them. Not enough people participated in the ensuing recall effort or the re-election bid by Walker so he and his rancid policies prevailed. Now it hits North Carolina. Most Americans this time of year are so distracted by holiday shopping and football that voting is way down the list of priorities and after all both sides are corrupt anyway right? In the Wisconsin primary election 20% of the voters who filled in the circle for Sanders then left the booth without voting for the WisSupreme Court. They didn’t know or care about anything but their cult hero so Joann Kloppenburg was defeated by the Walker crony and the right wingers keep the highest court in Wisconsin. Did I mention that I have a huge bitch with the NFL teams in the states afflicted with this reactionary anti union shit? They are all union teams and would have a great influence on the attention span of the millions who are thinking about nothing but football in the fall but they remain silent because they are all owned by billionaires. Other than the Packers that is but good lord why can’t these high paid celebrity players speak out against social injustice and stand with their union brothers and sisters? Rant over.
