Exactly. I’m picturing drug dealers giving names up the ladder - or having no names to give - and the kind of sentences they get. If this criminal enterprise were created by a black or other minority gang, the cries would be out there to make them pay with extended prison terms.
I can’t think of many things that demonstrate white privilege as clearly as the way sentencing is handled in these cases. Drug dealing can affect many lives locally. What most of these clowns were doing affected national security and the fundamentals of our government. Both are bad. Which is worse…
The Feds are handing out a lot of largess for cooperators. It makes me wonder just what Mueller & Co. got for their beneficence. Nobody seems to be on the hook for much of anything except for Manafort.
