I find it fascinating that there was news report just yesterday showing racist comments being carved into the snow on the same campus … was AP fooled into reporting a bogus “attack.” The comments painted on the rock were rather Western. I would expect more along the lines of “Allah Whatever the second word is”

Seems interestingly timed. Agreed w/photo seeming out of date, as well as a concern that this is someone trying to make a stink about Islam and/or suggest that it’s related to refugees or terrorism, rather than someone actually supporting Islamic State.

Still, definitely plausible that it’s a right-winger frustrated by the lack of a backlash against Muslims on campus. Or just dumb kids who thought it would make a good prank.
