Well . . . at least it’s less disgraceful than complaining you lost because black people exercised their right to vote.
Murray, who previously challenged Lucas in 2012 while running as a Democrat
This, combined with the body-double accusation, makes me suspect he’s a LaRoucheite rather than a regular person.
Moe of a LaDoucheite
He is so beyond the mad tin foil hatter realm that any snark that I could come up with just wouldn’t be adequate. He’s a self parody of himself.
I agree, this kind of ridiculous bullshit is right square in the wheelhouse of Lyndon’s Loonies.
…in Oklahoma.
OMG, I looked into his eyes!
This is what happens when you become a Republican. You lose
your mind.
This is actually a known medical condition called the “Capgras Delusion.”
But your mind is like your reputation—once it’s gone, you just don’t miss it.
Sure, but how could you tell the difference?
“What a terrible thing to have lost one’s mind. Or not to have a mind at all. How true that is.”
~ Dan Quayle
Among the several problems with this prospective legal challenge is that candidate Murray campaigned for the GOP primary on the basis of this claim being true, with precisely the same details.
What it means is that the vast majority of primary voters either a) didn’t believe the claim, or b) believed the claim yet still favored the body double over Murray, and by virtue of the secret ballot, candidate Murry is unable to prove which.
Moreover, the overwhelming majority of the current GOP Congressional Caucus, including the actual Congressman Lucas, already act in a manner effectively indistinguishable from body doubles, such that the voters of this Oklahoma District are highly unlikely to suffer any more harm from being represented by a body double of Representative Lucas, or indeed by candidate Murray, than they’ve already incurred from being represented by the actual Congressman Lucas. Thus, any such claim filed in court would have to be dismissed as frivolous.
We can, however, immediately increase the odds on candidate Murry being invited to appear on Alex Jones’ show.
Only those people closest to them would know, or suspect, because clinically delusional thinking would tend to cross over into their personal life.
My relative had that delusion I mentioned about her grandchildren – as well as some truly insane ideas about, for instance, her state’s legislature that went way beyond political issues. She was certain they were literally the source of all evil in the United States.
Ha! That’s impossible … or IS IT?
My thinking also. You would expect someone of this caliber to win in Oklahoma. Therefore, I fully expect state officials to investigate his claim. They being of the same substance and caliber.
He didn’t say Obama was behind it? How could that be?
I keep being reminded that maybe the best thing for us to do is get out of the way of the right wingers and let them destroy themselves. They seem to be extraordinarily adept at that.
President Obama’s quote is perfect:
Please proceed.
Clearly, Republicanism is a disease.
In fairness, the Republicans have been using the same old excuses, voter fraud, New Black Panther Party, librul media, that they needed to go back to the well.
