“They may be moved from a plan that they currently have to a plan that is much more desirable for them to have,
Desirable for who, the family or GOP?
coming soon… the Costco/Walmart insurance plans that enables the purchasers to buy Multi-packs of band-aids and aspirin at at a huge discount…
Been watching Clint Eastwood movies lately… the first thing in my mind that came was
Go Ahead make my day.
I know… lots of people will end worse off, but if they are going to screw up I want them to screw up the worse possible way, affecting the largest possible number of people, and giving the rich the largest possible tax cut.
We will rebuild from there.
It sounds like they’d have us believe they want no one to lose what they have now. If that’s the case just don’t fuck with what we have right now.
Cue the “bullshit cough” clip from the Animal House “Deltas on Trial” scene.
God I wish that clip was available online. It’s so apropos for so much of the “cough” coming from the Trump admin.
Nice, Price, that is a very good quotation to have simmering in the media over the weekend !
I hope they give it a lot of airtime…
Costco DID offer plans for a while, they might still, but not near me. If I lived in an area that offered them now, I’d certainly look into it.
Desirable for whom?
Conservatives have argued that fewer regulations on health insurers will result in cheaper, and less comprehensive, plans.
If deregulation worked, there would have been no need for the ACA in the first place.
WHy are they so afraid of the CBO scoring of the tRump/rethug don’t care act. Clowns like “what’s my price” keep spreading this bull shit in an attempt to distract from the fact they fully intend to fuck over the working poor. It’s not a sideline,it’s the purpose.
Listening to HHS head Tom Price, a doctor, reminds me of the old joke: Q: What do you call a doctor graduating last in his/her class? A: A doctor.
You mean a more desirable plan by some fly by night outfit that provides no real coverage at all. There has to be a special place in hell for these people.
“I believe that those numbers look at this in a siloed situation where they don’t look at the kind of reforms and changes that will come about, or the options and greater choices that individuals will have,” he said.
Briefer Price: “They are not taking our special, ineffable, magic asterisks into account.”
“They may be moved from a plan that they currently have to a plan that is much more desirable for them to have,
You know, like when we moved the Cherokee out of that horrible swampland they called home to that much more desirable place in Arkansas and Oklahoma.
What this GOP plan does is set up health insurance for the folks in ACA to be covered they way they want to cover people in Medicare as soon as they can possibly do it. AHCA is their same voucher plan they threaten to use in their dismantling of medicare: we all get vouchers that increase with age to use with private INSCOS.
This is Paul Ryan’s version of “Medicare for all”.
“Again, we want nobody to lose coverage or lose access to coverage that currently has that, and we want to increase the number of individual that have access to coverage.”
Sort of in the same way that I want to retire at 35 to a castle in Scotland… I’m just not taking any steps to make it happen.
I hear you, but I’m worried that it will be much harder to undo this disaster–especially repealing the 1%er tax cuts.
Yeah, he clearly clapped really hard to keep Tinkerbell alive, so he could score some magic pixie dust.
