Price and Conway were visiting Charleston, W.Va., to hear about efforts to fight opioid addiction in a state that has the nationās highest drug overdose death rate. They met privately with state and local policymakers and members of several groups, including officials of an addiction treatment center and an addiction hotline, according to the Associated Press.
What West Virginian government process was being willfully disrupted?
Given the purpose of the visit, the bigger disruption is the giant cut to Medicaid in the GOP healthcare bill. Medicaid funds a pretty large portion of addiction treatment in the US. The reporter should ask about that while the spotlight is on him.

West Virginia is facing a public health crisis that needs to be addressed in order to improve the well-being of its residents and the economic health of the state. West Virginia has the highest rate of drug overdose deaths in the country (39.5 deaths per 100,000 residents),1 more than double the national average. Between 2012 and 2015, the death count increased nearly 31%, from 558 to 722 (Figure 1). Additionally, 31 of every 1,000 births in the state involve babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome (NAS) resulting from substance abuse among pregnant women.2
ā¦Of all of the NAS births in West Virginia, 86.5% (551) were born to Medicaid mothers.16
West Virginia put a lot of effort into a waiver application to the US Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to allow the state to establish a more comprehensive and coordinated program to address and treat substance use disorders. Trumppcare will eff that up.

In other news, Tom Priceās wife was arrested for asking Price what he wanted for dinner while outside the confines of a press conference.
Perhaps that is why the dissolving of the credibility of this administration - beyond the 36+% of diehard fans, is happening so much faster in this era - and why the diehards - who have far more propaganda avenues to reaffirm their positive views of Trump and the negative views of all his self-proclaimed enemies.
That said, the speed with which support, outside of the diehards, has eroded (not over a course of years and in the case of Nixon, or GWB, but in the speed of a couple of months) is interesting, and perhaps hopeful.
