I’d sure like to see the text of parts II and III of Trumpcare.
I believe the reason there are 3 parts, and not 2, is that no fool could believe that one more bill will fix the disaster of bill number 1.
It’s amazing how these right wingers profess to be such devout christians and then bold face lie right to your face. If that is your definition of christianity, you can count me out.
This guy had a plan to change the tax code in order to encourage employers to stop offering health care coverage. I believe he also had a plan to fully privatize/voucherize medicare. He seems to be a combination of a) free market fanatic; and a b) austerity for the poor, middle class and retired (but not the really, really rich) sort of Republican.
So when he says he is committed to 'Insurance for Everybody", it is wise to ask: a) at what cost to everybody; and b) what graft flows directly to corporate interests (insurance, pharma, hospital companies)? This is not a public service because it is my duty sort of guy.
”President Donald Trump is still committed to his promise of ‘insurance for everybody’ despite estimates that the Republican bill to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act will leave millions more people uninsured."
Donald Trump is the LeBron James of lying.
He lies his heart out, every single day.
Like nobody in the game of lying ever has.
We should call him “LieBron Trump”.

It is because they made them up last week - I think the day AFTER the CBO report came out (maybe later that day). It was never part of a strategic plan. It is a makeover attempt. But the blowup doll needing makeup, was already deflated.
That’s a very good point. If one could show that Republicans only started talking about II and III after the CBO score, that would be worth an article of its own.
If he is so committed why not make it the first step, makes no sense to take away insurance to deliver insurance.
And Dommyluc, after smoking about an ounce-and-a-half of Killer Colorado Kush, insists that he can, like the alchemists’ dream of old, transform lead into gold.
In any case, Phases two and three are nothing more than a Potemkin village.
“blowup doll”? You mean Ivanka Trump helped craft the GOP healthcare bill?
What we need to ask him is who is ‘everybody’?
I suspect his ‘everybody’ is not the definition you will find in Webster’s…
Great point.
Everybody can have insurance as long as you allow plans that cover little or nothing. That is steps 2 and 3.
There needs to be more nuts and bolts question.
If Ted Cruz is a 55 year old laborer who makes 35,000/year and has back and heart problems, how can he afford health care under the new plan? Show me the numbers which beat ACA.
The first I read of it was from Price either the day of the CBO, or the next morning, followed by house defenders (can’t recall if it was Ryan or someone else). I agree it would be a great point for an article- and with nexus (I don’t have that service) it would be easy enough to search for on Price and Ryan who are the two who use that term (since then I think picked up by the WH).
He can have “insurance”, some $50/month plan sold out of a PO Box in South Dakota that covers next to nothing. That’s what the Rs would offer once all the “phases” are in…
So we’re supposed to believe all the good stuff is coming?
From the guy who was never going to take a vacation or play golf…and plays every weekend at significant taxpayer expense.
From the guy who was going to bring all these jobs back, but so far nothing.
From the guy who was going to govern for the people, but has a billionaire boys cabinet?
From the guy who said Mexico was going to pay for the wall, and now we are?
I’ll stop now because this list could be endless.
I wonder if even his own supporters could be vapid enough to still believe this congenital liar?
reading the nuances…
we really mean you can buy whatever you can afford… good luck…
oh yeah… and the emergency rooms are free…
