Discussion: President's Doctor: Trump Asked For Cognitive Exam, Did 'Exceedingly Well'

They’re playing the conference live on WaPo.

Doctor seems to be actually answering questions (and not being an ass about it).

I can’t wait for the articles summarizing this. It’s going fast.

He talked about cognitive assessment tests that he ran (at the president’s request according to him). He says that he sees and talks to the president all the time (and has never heard him repeating himself).

(President got a 30 out of 30 on cognitive test…hmm)

He is recommending diet changes and exercise towards weight loss.

And the Dr. may have just done a major overreach, predicting he will be healthy through this term (and another term).

If you compare old clips of Trump speaking with his current statements and interviews, he does seem less coherent. Perhaps this is not something captured on the doctor’s cognitive assessments. At any rate, the assessments themselves are relatively unimportant. What matters is what Trumps says and does. And what he says and does is awful.

He reminds me more and more of kim jong-il towards the end:

Just out of curiosity – does this doctor look anything like John Barron?

Sample question -

Dr: Mr. President - What color is the white coat I am wearing?

T: The white coat?

Dr: Yes the white coat.

T: White

So Dotard the Stable Genius is just an intentional asshole.

Great! So no problems following Mueller’s questions. He’s got the best mental acuity of any living being then he shouldn’t have any problems recollecting anything!

This was the cognitive test.

Mr. Trump, are you a stable genius? Stomp your foot once for “yes”.

So if we accept these results at face value, he really is as vile as he seems to be.

It was a modified statement put out by the WH .

While I’m skeptical that numbers for weight/blood pressure/cholesterol/etc are good, I’m fine with Trump passing a “cognitive test.” The argument that he’s got dementia provides too much cover for his actions.

Besides, he’s still a fucking idiot.

Took him most of the morning, but eventually he got it.

So, there will be NO excuses when he changes his statements from one minute to the next, or says something completely bizarre and out of context with the topic at hand, and all the other things that have led people to believe he’s got mental problems? Good. Let’s everyone stop giving cover to his vile actions and ideas.

If the doctor has never heard Dotard the Stable Genius repeating himself, then maybe the doctor needs cognitive testing

Putie must have put in a new set of batteries.

He specified separately that he’d used the Montreal Cognitive Assessment.

Probably a hard test, no one understand hockey rules.

Quite simply, I don’t buy it

The doctor would release the test results, but they’re under audit.

Single data point… multiple tests over time are required to diagnose degeneration.
